The months past by slowly.
Jackson and I decided to just stay friends.
I couldn't stand the thought of hurting Alex that way.
But Jackson and I couldn't stay away from each other. I saw him almost everyday, we became close, but only close enough to continue our relationship once.
My relationship with Alex progressed, he had moved into my house. As things were...good I suppose.
I was due at the hospital for a check up. Greeting my nurses, Daisy and Sophia, my stomach churned. I covered my mouth and ran to the toilets. Sophia pulled my hair back, rubbing circles on my back. I winced as I stretched for the flush handle. I slowly rose to my feet.
"Lexie, how long have you been getting like this?" Sophia asked sternly.
"I dunno a couple of weeks I guess, most mornings." I shrugged.
"And you didn't think that was slightly odd?"
"Well I dunno I didn't really think about it."
"Okay well, we'll run some tests see what up yeah?"
"If you think it's worth doing."
"Just going to ask some questions."
"Okie dokie"
"Any abdominal pains?"
"No not recently"
"Any changes within your body? Lumps, bumbs?"
"No.. Not that I noticed.."
"Okay, when was your last menstrual cycle?"
I flushed red, "erm, I think a few weeks ago... I'm not due for another few days."
"Okay, gonna just do some test see what we can find."
2hours later I was laying on a bed, shirt pulled up under my bra, cold gel being spread across my lower abdomen.
"You won't find anything." I shook my head.
"We'll do it anyway just incase" Daisy told me.
I lay there as she ran the...I dunno.. Receiver? Yeah let's call it a receiver, across my abdomen.
"Lexie..."
"Yeah?"
"Er...you know how you said there's no possible way for you to be pregnant?"
"Yes..."
"Well you are...."
