⊱⋅ ─ 33: NEAR DEATH

Chan and Mr. Bang both kept their fishing tools and started rowing towards land, both of them with hearts uplifted with the closure they wanted years ago, smiles wide with sincerity and even one can tell that they were both alright, even from all the silence.

But the row boat they were on bumped into something with a loud thud, but they were still along the middle of the lake, so what could have bumped into it? No fish would be really able to bump into the boat that hard. Chan stood up from his seat and took one oar into his hands leaning to the edge to see if anything was there, a rock, a chopped off tree trunk, when Chan least expected it, a pair of hands grabbed the oar and pulled on it, hard, bringing Chan along with it.

Chan splashed into the water as he was pulled by someone who had been hiding in it. Mr. Bang panicked as he called Chan, trying to reach the young man from the side of the boat, but as he can see Chan and the other person were struggling in the water and the last thing that Mr. Bang thought of was to call for help.

"Help!" Mr. Bang called in a panic, arms flailing to get the attention of the other people sitting outside of the villa, "Help! It's Chan!" He screamed once more, the row boat shaking above the water, catching the attention of everyone that were by the grill.

Jeongin immediately stood up and pulled a gun from the back of his pants, aiming at what seemed to be a struggling Chan and another figure, pulling their leader down into the water. "I'll stop the attacker-"

Hyunjin only then cut Jeongin off, "You can't! Even if you were good at aiming, it's too risky." Hyunjin said as he held the gun down, "You might hit Chan, and we need that person alive, whoever they are."

Everyone were watching in fear, their feet glued to the ground as they watched Chan fight back and struggle again, not until they saw Felix and Jakob run towards the water as they threw their shirts off.

"Mr. Bang!" Jakob called, removing his pants, leaving himself in his boxers, "Sir! We need you to help Chan while Felix and I are on the way!" He yelled as loud as he could, Felix already splashed into the water and swam towards Chan and his attacker.

Mr. Bang looked around the boat, and the only thing that seemed useful to him as a weapon were the oars, he quickly took one with both hands and lifted it over his head, ready to hit Chan's attacker.

"You leave my son alone!" The man yelled, and with a huff, he quickly brought the oar down as soon as Chan emerged from the water with the attacker in his hold, the oar hitting the unknown man on the forehead, but that wasn't even enough for him to lose consciousness.

"Hold on!" The man heard Felix call as he swam towards Chan as fast as he could and as soon as he reached Chan and the other person, who was still struggling in Chan's hold, he pulled out a syringe and injected something into the unknown person's neck, instantly making them doze of into unconsciousness. Chan panted as he helped his father get the man's body onto the boat, the man instantly rowing back to solid ground, it was then Chan and Felix who were ready to swim back themselves.

Felix swam ahead of Chan, Chan was still out of breathe and he was swimming slowly. That underwater fight sure tuckered him out at some point. Felix wanted to say something to Chan, so he spun around to face the older male, ready to say something, his mouth opening to speak, but he was cut off with a gurgle as he was being dragged down by something or someone.

Hannah and Mrs. Bang, who saw the scene screamed in fright, Chan instantly dove into the water to see another figure pulling Felix by the ankle. Chan quickly swam deeper, deep enough to turn and hit the person by the face, mind you, he was wearing his fishing boots. The person let go of Felix's ankle and the freckled male instantly lunged upward to gasp for air, coughing out the water that choked him on the way he was being pulled down under earlier.
