"How was the first day?" Jaehyun asked Felix through the other line, he had a notepad and a pen, ready to jot down important points.

Felix softly exhaled before shifting his weight to his left leg, he was outside the tent Chan and he were staying in for the night. 

"It was good, no trouble whatsoever," he answered, looking down on his shoes as he kicked some rocks here and there, "I did have an emotional conversation with Jisung."

Jaehyun jotted down the part about Felix's emotional conversation with Jisung, "Does it have anything to do with getting along with the other members?"

"Yeah, that's right," Felix said, sighing, "I know it was a joke, but it fucking scared me that he said he'd kill Jakob and Minho if ever he finds them in on each other," explained Felix, pacing back and forth as he bit on his thumb nail, "I panicked and got a bit mad with him."

There was a few minutes of silence, now Felix only heard the static sounds from the other line of the radio, the chirping of crickets and the faint crackling of the fire at the distance where he could be seen in the warm glow of the fire.

And then Jaehyun spoke up, "Did you solve things with him?"

"Yeah," he began, holding back any tears or his voice breaking off to a crack, "Yeah, I solved things with him, it wasn't easy though."

"Is there anything else you want to tell me?" Jaehyun asked.

Pausing for longer than he needed to, he had a big realization hit him as if he was shot in the head five times, "I have something to ask."

"Ask away." Jaehyun spun he chair and found Johnny at the doorway to his office with an android following him, a trolley of snacks dragged by the android.

"Well..." Felix hummed, "How would you know whether we're telling the truth or not?" He queried.

"We don't." Jaehyun straight up answered. If Felix was being honest himself, he was surprised with Jaehyun's response, as if a heavy weight was taken away from his shoulders, but he didn't know from what it was, was it because he knew that he'd someday lie to Jaehyun or to Johnny, or that they trust them to the fullest?

The silence from the other line didn't go unnoticed to Jaehyun, so he spoke again, "We trust that you guys will tell us important information and would eventually hide things, personal things," he chuckled, and Felix could imagine that confident smile that the latter always made whenever he's certain of what he was saying. "I best be going, Felix, I'd love to chat, but I have a pharmaceutical and hospital to handle for the meantime and you have some sleep that needs to be achieved, thank you and goodnight."

"Goodnight, Jaehyun."

Felix sighed as he hid his radio, the words Jaehyun told him repeating in his head while he took slow steps toward his and Chan's tent.

Just as he arrived at the tent, Chan was there, in his sleeping bag, reading a book, for what Felix knew at that time, it was about two boys that ran away from their city for an adventure to look for the rarely seen. Felix grinned fondly at how Chan's eyes were trained on the said book's pages with focus, brows almost meeting at the middle of his brow by how serious he was, and the soft glow of the lamp gave Chan's features a sharper kind of detail.

It reminded Felix of Chaewon whenever he'd return home from one of his so-called gigs, the same book every month of everyday, fingers turning one page to another, as if anything in the book would change, that thought made Felix think of his sister, and now that he did, he wondered what she was up to. Is she eating at the right time? Is she still studying? Is she safe? Does she sleep well at night? Does she miss Felix as much as he misses her? Does she still read the same worn out book even though Jaehyun buys other books for her?
