Jade
I watch the playground a few yards away erupt with childlike laughter.
Purr innocence; children are the purest thing in the world.
"Do you know her name?" Diandra asks as she sits to the left of me on the bench.
"They named her Hermione." I state my eyes fixated on a dark hair little girl running through a mini obstacle course.
Scarlett and Iris make they way over to me as soon as their cars were parked. They sit next to me on the bench.
I sigh taking in how much the dark hair little has grown since I last seen her, last year. Every year we go to this park, and every year we watch as the parents of the girl throws her a birthday party at the small neighborhood park.
"She's happy." I observe as she runs to her mother happily, giggling at something her mom says, "She's happy with them."
"She is safe too. Safe from our fucked up world. You've made the right decision Jade. Giving that little girl up was the best decision someone could ever make. None of us were stable to raise her or care for her." Iris says next to me and I nod agreeing.
"I never regret my decision, especially when I see that smile of hers. I wasn't meant to have children. I have came to terms with that." I say as I crack a half smile as the girl pushes herself to the monkey bars.
Since last year she has been trying to do the monkey bars. She went from only being able to do two, half of them, and today she be a victory for her.
"She is definitely Jade's daughter." Scarlett says as the little girl successfully crosses the monkey bars.
I smirked as I watch her do a celebratory dance, as her father records her cheering her on.
"You guys have came along way." Diandra comments, "You three are strong women who slayed all their demons." She says my eyes glance at Iris.
She is now sporting a bob, shoulder length hair style. Her brown hair now holding blonde highlights. She looks more healthy and more thicker, her golden orbs held so much vibrancy.
My eyes fall on to Scarlett now styling a pixie cut, her strawberry blonde hair has became a platinum blonde. I actually love her new look, the sun makes her hair look like it's glowing. Even with her scar she wears proudly, she looks content and more confident.
Then there is me, my dark hair still falls to the middle of my back, yet I sport bangs that cover my entire forehead and my eyebrows a little. After everything I been through, I have grown to love myself and my life. I just feel like a weight was lifted off of me and I am so relieved.
I smile at the two girls who are not just my best friends but my sisters. When I was recovering from my injuries, they never left. But that's the thing they have never gone far and not for too long.
We went through stuff that we probably won't ever speak of. But it made us stronger together.
"Why are you smiling at us you creep?" Iris asks smirking at me as she fight back a smile.
"I love y'all." I say for the very first time.
We never said it, we knew we love each other like any sister would, but just never came out and said it.
"I love you too." Scar says flashing a loving smile at Iris and I.
"I love you bitches too." Iris says rolling her eyes as a smile forms on her lips.
We pull each other into a hug laughing as Iris curses about being crushed.
"Well I guess it is just forget me then." Diandra says rolling her eyes jokingly.
"Oh shut the fuck and help us crus Iris." Scarlett retorts and Dee soon jumps into the hug laughing.
"We are still fucked up people." Iris. says and we all as we still hug each other.
My sisters; my backbones, I know that no matter what ever happens in this fucked yo world, I will always have them.
AN: Awwwwn! It's finally the end🥲 These girls have grown so much! I hate to see you go but I love the ending❤️😭
Please do the Q&A! It's been fun and it's been great, but I will see you in the next mafia book in this series, La Bamobola Del Capo (The Boss's Doll).
This is Matteo Vitali's story with Valentina. (Hopefully you remember them when Scarlett went to Vegas).
I'm pretty sure nobody caught that the Jade's daughter she gave up will be in Leo and Jack's book☕️
