Chapter 10

"Merry Christmas!" you greeted your friends as they stepped into your house. Your relatives were already gathered inside, and you would take your friends to your rooms so that you would not disturb the main gathering.

"Nice house." Kokomi remarked as she removed her shoes and stepped in.

"SORRY FOR THEE INTRUSION." Gorou practically shouted as he stepped inside. Kokomi locked arms with him as they followed you. She put a hand on his head protectively as Pallad and the others looked at him as if he were some rare and exotic animal.

"Say, you really goin' out with Kazuha?" Donna whispered to you. You knew Kazuha could hear you, his hearing was amazingly sharp.

"Yup." you replied. Donna rolled her eyes.

"What about Zhongli then?" she questioned.

"I like him as a fan, thats it." you answered.

You entered your room, and sat everyone down on the floor on cushions. You started handing out their presents, while they handed you theirs, and exchanged with the others. Then, the time to open presents came.

"KAZUHA WHAT HAVE YOU GIVEN ME?!" your eyes widened at the necklace Kazuha had given you.

"I just thought it'd look good on you." he chuckled. You blushed hard as he pushed your hair aside to tie the necklace on your neck.

"Perfect." he smiled as he pulled back to observe how good the necklace looked on you. You blushed a deep red again, and he laughed softly, happy about the effect he had on you.

You opened the present Kokomi had given you. "WOAH WHAT-" you were almost about to die. She had given you a Gucci watch, which looked pretty expensive. "I can't accept something expensive like this!" you tried to protest.

"Thats not expensive at all." she muttered like a true rich kid. You sighed and went on to open the present from Gorou. His present was rather simple, it was a doggy strap to attach on a phone.

"Aww." your heart melted looking at the cute doggy strap.  Donna and the others had mostly given you anime and DCKZ merch, as was expected of them. You'd done the same for them, too.

"This-" Kazuha held the locket you'd given him with both hands, as if it was a very fragile and precious item. It contained pictures of you and him, and your initials were carved on the metal. He smiled as if it was the best thing he'd ever received, and kissed your cheek. He'd gotten a box of chocolates from Kokomi and another doggy strap from Gorou.

"Thats really cute." Kokomi chuckled as she opened the gift you'd given her. It was a pen with a pearl on top and cute accessories. "Awwww." she examined the pen with a wide smile on her face.

Gorou opened the present you'd given him. It was a bag of chocolates you'd found somewhere, and Gorou seemed like someone who liked chocolates. "Thank you!" Gorou exclaimed happily. Kokomi had given Gorou a pair of sunglasses, while he'd given her yet another doggy strap.

"Kids, down for the main party!" your mother called.

"(Y/N), I have something to tell you. Can we talk in private?" Pallad asked. You nodded, but Kazuha held you back, gripping your wrist with one arm.

"What do you need her for?" Kazuha asked, suspicion fierce in his crimson eyes.

"Just a bit of talk." Pallad said nervously and timidly.

"I'll be fine." you whispered to Kazuha.

"Fine then." he muttered as he made his way outside, not breaking eye contact with Pallad.

"(Y/N), I like you. A lot." Pallad confessed. You were taken aback.

"I had no idea . . . but I'm sorry, I already have someone-" you stopped mid sentence as you noticed Pallad moving towards you. You backed away slowly towards the door, as he quickened his pace to shorten the distance between you.

"(Y/N), become mine." he whispered in a crazed voice.

"Oh yes, I will!" a forced feminine voice sounded from behind the door. Gorou opened the door and you realised it was him who had spoken those words.

"Caught in 4k." Kokomi smiled, holding her phone horizontally, probably recording.

"How amazing of you, Sir Pallad." Kazuha chuckled as he slung an arm around you, then kissed you on the cheek.

"So gross." Donna murmured.

"I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH YOU WHEN YOU SAID ANCIENT ALCHEMY WAS BORING!" Timaeus yelled. You laughed at your friends' silliness.

"B-but I-" Pallad's words were interrupted by you.

"Out. Now." you pointed to the door. Pallad bit his tongue as he stormed out of the room, and exited the house. You headed downstairs for dinner.

"Woah, cake!" Gorou's eyes widened at the amount of cake that lined the counter of your kitchen. Kokomi still had a hand placed on his head, as if to shield him from the gazes of everyone, with a very bored look on her face. Gorou piled a ton of cake on his plate, going forward to stuff himself with it, as you placed some pizza and cake on your plate. You sat down beside Kazuha, to eat together, as your mom brought over a bunch of relatives to meet you.

"This is my daughter (Y/N), and her boyfriend Kazuha!" your mom introduced you to them. Your cheeks grew red from embarrassment, as Kazuha shook hands and exchanged a few words with each and every relative your mom had brought over. He was incredibly social, although he limited the amount of words he used and when he talked. This made a good impression of him on others. While you were kind of socially awkward, especially towards elders.

"I need some air." you whispered to your mom, and walked upstairs, heading to the adjacent balcony. Kazuha followed you, probably needing a break from the crowd as well.

"Hey." you slung an arm around Kazuha's shoulder. He relaxed his head on your shoulder, and kissed the back of your hand.

"Yeah." he replied to your greeting, smiling. You kissed his hair, and stroked his cheek with your hand. He caught your hand and pressed his warm face against it.

"(Y/N), I love you." he whispered. Your heart was a mess, but you loved it.

"Same here." you leant in towards him, and planted a kiss on his lips. He chuckled and returned the kiss.

And thus, Christmas ended.
