The hallways weren't all that crowded. Most students used the Sunday to sleep in, as did Damian.
For some reason I woke up early, seeing Donghyuck still asleep on the couch. His freshly dyed hair pointing out in every direction possible, making him look like a tiny wild red panda.
Noah met me on the 2nd floor, so now only Atticus was yet to come.
"Mark!"
Turning around, I see Marcellus coming towards me. There goes my peaceful morning.
"Uh, yeah?"
Marcellus looked me in the eye, then met Noahs. "So," he said, "Guess who made the team?"
"What hah, huh?"
Seeing my confusion, he began to explain.
"Look, you might've heard about the football team and its captain, which is me," He paused dramatically, dragging his fingers through his hair like he was some kind of super model.
"The first Physical Education lesson took place to test current students. Last year, a few of our players graduated. Seeing how we are now short on players, the school and I decided to use one of the lessons to see who is suitable to be a player.
You might not think so but you, Mark Lee, did a very good job. You have great stamina, so within a few trainings you will be able to catch up with the rest of the team. So, what do you say?"
My first thought; Fuck, no. How did I even make the team?
Noah looked at me with stars in his eyes. Staring back with wide eyes I stood there, as if to say 'No no no, stop it with the puppy eyes'.
"Uhm, I, oh."
Marcellus fucking giggles at me.
"Well said."
In my head I could hear Noah going, 'ACCEPT IT, ACCEPT IT'
Maybe if I join, father would be proud? I know mother would probably be.
"Alright, when do I start," I asked, smiling.
Marcellus smiled broadly, and I could practically hear Noah fawning over it.
I guessed this was just the beginning of a long journey.
