Escape to Cali

Chapter 1

I can’t believe I am actually going. I am going to California with my friends. Isabella’s mom set it up. She bought us a house and each of a new closet full of clothes. Not to mention she got Isabella a car. Isabella, Eva, Jordan, Kayla, Katara, Jaggar, and I all get to live together, in California.

My mom drove me to the airport. My brother is in college and as for my dad, well he is probably off getting drunk somewhere. That’s all he has been doing since he left us.

“Bye, Honey I love you. Behave and have fun.” My mom said as me and my friends boarded the plane.

I slept the whole way there. The plane passed in a blurr. We all got off the plane, got out bags, and went to find the limo.

We  arrived at the house. It was more like a mansion. We all claimed our rooms. They all had bathrooms connecting to them. That is good since I get up early every morning to run.

Next we went to the garage. Is this really in front of me? Did my mom really get me that kind of car? It’s a prowler. The kind of car I have always wanted. It is also orange! I will have to take that out for a drive and..

“I’m hungry.” My thoughts were interrupted by Isabella talking.

“Isa, you are always hungry.” Katara said.

“I’ll order pizza.” I said pulling out my phone only to see it’s not working.

“Great.” I muttered. Mom is going to kill me.” I grumbled. I went to sit in my new car.

The next thing I know there is an IPhone sitting there with a note on it. The note said … Chelsea, i got you a new phone. Hope you like like it, love Dad.I jumped out of the car showing my friends my new phone. Then ordered pizza.

Ten minutes later the doorbell rang. I ran to the door hurdling the couch with Jaggar on it. I was hoping for pizza, but instead there was a bunch of cute guys.

“Oh!” I said. “I thought you were the pizza man.” I was a little disappointed.

“Hi.” One of them spoke up. “I’m Khan these are Lola, Jackson, Caleb, Joseph, Nate, Sam, Shawn, Ricky, Dillon, and Xavier. We are your neighbors” Khan said with a smile.

“Chelsea, is the pizza here?” Kayla hollered.

“No.” I shouted back. Then I turned back to the ten people standing in front of me and started laughing uncontrollably.

“Spaz.” Jordan walked by with a smile to sit with Jaggar.

“Chelsea, are you just going to stand there laughing or let ine the poor people?” Eva asked. I didn’t move. I just kept laughing. Katara shoved me out of the way and Eva let them in with a small chuckle. Kayla and Isabella came down the stair.

“Is she having an attack?” They asked in unison. That only made me laugh harder. The guys just stood there staring at me. After a few minutes I calmed down. I took off to the kitchen. Hurdling the couch again. Only this time I didn’t make it all the way over. I face-planted, then got up and started running into the for water.

Five minutes later I had drank a cup of water and was on another one. I walked back into the living room. My phone was ringing on the coffee table. I looked at the screen and groaned.

“I don’t want to deal with him.” I whined to my friends then answered my phone.

I listened to Darrius for a little bit befor I got mad. I yelled at him.

“No. Don’t turn this around on me. You weren’t there. I warned you. You knew I was leaving and wanting to bring Little D with me. You didn’t care. You never cared about he and I. I don’t care what you say. Once I get it cleared wit you parents he is coming to live with me. You can’t just now decide to be in your son’s life. “ I hung up and threw my phone. I ran upstairs and changed into a pair of shorts and a sports bra. I grabbed my IPod, ran down stairs and said “bye” to everyone. I didn’t even realize I didn’t have shoes on until I had ran about seven miles. I got back home and the guys were still there. Lola had left for work. I walked in with a smile and went up to my room.

“Does she have bipolar?” Caleb asked as I was headed down stair. I really needed to get my phone, then I could go up to my room and cry. When I got down stairs I decided to clear things up.

“I don’t have bipolar. I get really mad at Darrius and the only way to make me feel better is to run. I’m not feeling well. I am just going up to my room.” I said then bent down to get my phone. I went back up to my room and slammed my door. I changed into to sweatpants and threw on a sweatshirt. I heard a light knock on my door and right after that Jaggar, Eva and Khan came in. I sat on my bed as they crossed the room.

“Hey girly, do you want to talk about it?” Jaggar asked as he took a seat on my floor and Eva followed him.

“Yeah.” I said with a sigh. Then I started crying. Khan came over and hugged me as I was sitting down. He sat down with me and I was still in his arms.

“As you can tell that was Darrius.” I said through some sniffles.

“He want to get full custody of D. He only now wants to be in his son’s life. He wasn’t even there for his birth.” I said into Khan’s shirt

“You have a kid?” Khan asked shocked

“Yeah. I had an older boyfriend. He went to a different school. He took me to his prom. Then after he took my to a hotel. Were I refused everything. Next thing I know he is taking off his belt and found some rope. He tied me up to the bed….” I trailed off and shuttered.
