Escape to Cali

Chapter 6

We sat there for what felt like hours. I really like Khan, but I can't go through another heartbreak and I can't be the cause of someone else's. I feel bad that I yelled at everyone else. I really needed to go apologize for it. With a sigh I got up.

"Where are you going?" Khan asked.

"Stay up here. I need to go talk to the girls. We need to figure out a plan to help me. Otherwise I won't be here much longer." I said then walked down stairs. Everyone was in the kitchen when I walked in. They all stared at me. I smiled at them and sat down.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be mean. I'm starting to push you guys away again. If I am successful then I will run. I need your guy's help." I said. All the girls gave me and hug. Khan came into the kitchen with a smile.

"I thought I told you to stay upstairs. I need to talk to the girls, and Jaggar." I said to Khan

"I thought I told you to leave her alone." Jaggar said getting up. I jumped up and put a hand on his chest.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you guys were my parents." Khan said with a smile. I would have smiled back, but that was always something Darrius would say to Jaggar and Isabella before our dates. I stiffened.

"Everyone get out besides Jaggar, Eva, Isabella, Kayla, Chelsea, and Katara." Jordan said looking at me to see if I'm okay. I nodded slightly at her. Everyone left the room and we all sat down at the table.

"When I get back we need to find me a therapist. I know I hate them, but I like it out here and I don't want to run again. We need to have fun all the time and get that stupid voice out of my head. We need to let the guys know what happened to me back in Iowa. I want Khan to be the first to know everything, so I will tell him one the plane. Wait until I get back to tell everyone else please. We can tell the as we are looking for a good therapist." I said. I really hope they will help me any way they can. I don't want to run away from my problems anymore. I want to face them, but I can't face them alone.

"We all agree. We need to surround you with everything you love. That includes a music room, running, a place for you to dance, and a time of the day when you can go swimming." Jordan said with a smile.

"Chelsea will be back to how she was when she was in eighth grade. We will be here by your side." Jaggar said and grabbed my hand. I love my family of friends. I looked at the clock it was noon. We still had to finish my room and I need to go on my run then go to bed so I could be ready for the next day.

"Lets go find everyone else and go finish painting my room." I said with a smile. We got up and told everyone to meet us upstairs so they could help us. I was the first into my room. I quickly changed then plugged my iPod into my ipod deck and started playing some music. Khan was the first to join me. Following him was all the guys and behind them were the girls. We put on the circles and marked where we were going to put the wave paint. We decided on it to be 3 feet from the floor and one and a half foot wide. I grabbed my paint brush and started painting inside the circles orange. "Make You Miss Me" by Sam Hunt was the next song to come on. I started signing to it. Hitting all the right notes. Jordan soon joined in with me. Soon we were all dancing around my room singing and chasing each other with paint filled paint brushes. It was the best time I had in years. We kept laughing as the song played out. We were just finishing when "Just a Dream" by Nelly came up. Jordan and I screamed and jumped up and down. It was a song we would always listen before everything happened to me. The girls, Jaggar and I all did our dance to it and they let me sing.

The guys were sitting down watching. I met eyes with Khan and smiled at him. I was so glad I decided to come to Cali. The real question was how long would I be able to stay before the problems start piling up. This day had a special effect on me that said I would be able to make it through everything. The song ended and all of us were laughing. My sides were hurting. I slowly fell to the floor. Everyone was breathing heavily except me. I couldn't breath. It's not that I didn't want to. I just couldn't let out any air. I brought in a gulp of air and tried to release it. I kept trying, but I started to get weaker. This is why i had to be careful when I run. I had a little bit of asthma. I pick myself up and walked over to my bathroom. I got to the doorframe and collapsed. Eva figured out what I was after and said something to Jaggar. I couldn't hear what she said. The next thing I know Jaggar jumped over me yelling something I couldn't quite understand. I was now barely letting out  breath. I felt numb. Everyone flipped me over so I could see them. Jaggar was still yelling in the back ground. I was looking into the prettiest aqua eyes ever. I was shook and Jaggar held my inhaler in front of me. I took it. I took one puff of it. I held my breath as long as I could. I took four more hits before putting it down. Well there goes me nightly run. I was in Khan's arms. He is the one that had the beautiful eyes. He smiled down at me. I was only able to muster up a sleepy grin. I was really tried. I was already four P.M. I snuggled closer to Khan. The girls were laughing.

"come one Chels. Lets get you to the guest bedroom." Isabella said. I grabbed the hand that was reached out to me and pulled myself up. Khan pulled me into the closest guest bedroom and left me on the bed. He came back with a pair of sweatpants, a tee-shirt, a sweatshirt, my clothes for the next day, my phone, and ipod. I thanked him. I was too tired to go anywhere so when he handed my clothes I started changing right there. I didn't care. I crawled right back into bed and pulled the covers over my head.

"I'm going to go get something to eat. I will be back up soon." He told me. I mumbled something along the lines of "okay" but I wasn't sure what it was. He let out a small chuckle as he left the room. I drifted off to sleep.

I was running. I was covered in sweat and my legs ached really bad. I didn't want to run any more, but someone was chasing me. I had to keep going. I didn't know where I was at. I tripped over a wire and was caught. I woke up screaming. My alarm was going off signaling it was 12:30 and I needed to get ready to go. Khan had his arms wrapped protectively around and was staring into my eyes to make sure I was fine. I nodded at him.

"I'm going to take a shower the get dressed. You can go back to sleep until I get out." I said to him. He nodded at me.I went and took a shower. I took 15 minutes in the shower. When I walked out of the room Khan was sleeping. I went skipping over to him and kissed him on the check. He woke up.

"Good morning sunshine." I sang. I was going to see my little monster. I was in a really good mood.

"Morning." He said back with a chuckle. He rolled over to go back to sleep.

"Oh, no you don't." I said I stood up. I started jumping on the bed yelling lyrics at the top of my lungs.

"You make me wanna pull this truck to the side of the road. Slid on over, let me hold you close. And tell you everything I'm thinking. Hop on out and let the tailgate fall. Get drunk on you with no alcohol. If you don't stop I'm gonna. Girl you make me wanna." I was still jumping up and down as everyone ran into the room. Khan didn't know they ran in and he grabbed my feet. I fell down on the bed as he rolled over. he layed on top of me and kissed me. I squealed really loud. Jaggar cleared his throat. Khan jumped off of me. I started laughing.

"Get out of bed you lazy bone and I wouldn't have to jump up and down screaming a song to wake you up. We get to go get my little monster today. Not get out of bed before I do it again." I said getting ready to jump again.

"Down girl." Jaggar said as he wrapped his arms around me. I started singing again and jumping up and down as Jaggar was holding onto me.

"Because I'm happy. Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof. Because I'm happy Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth Because I'm happy Clap along if you know what happiness is to you Because I'm happy Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do" I sang. Everyone started laughing. Jaggar let me go.

"We leave in ten minutes Khan, so get you butt out of bed. We have a kid to go get." I said with a smile on my face.

"Okay. Okay. I'm going. Good thing I took a shower last night." He said. He went into the bathroom and emerged a minute later in different clothes. We got all our stuff together for the day of traveling we had ahead of us. I gave all the girls a hug. I went over to where Jaggar was standing to give him a hug.

"Why did Khan kiss you this morning?" He asked with a smile.

"I don't have time to explain. I will tell you guys when I get back later tonight." I said matching his smile. I then gave him hug then me and Khan  left.

Hey guys, so the next chapter will be when Chelsea is picking up everyone that is going back with her. I am going to work on that chapter tonight and will either put that one up late tonight or really early tomorrow.
