Kumi's POV

"Hoi~ hoi~ Where are you going, Kumi-chan?"

She stopped upon hearing her name and look at Eiji who is now in front of her with his bento. "Canteen? It's lunch time, Eiji."

"I know. I know.” Eiji cross his arms. “But you’re not eating there today, nya."

"Eh?" She play dumb and think on how to escape.

"Hmm... You promise to me yesterday that you’ll be eating with us today and I said that I would bring you and Akiko-chan the strawberry shortcake that I baked." Eiji said and shifted his hands on his waist as he keep reminding her about the promise she made. “You haven’t forgotten, have you?” He put his lunchbox on my desk and open it, revealing the strawberry shortcake that looks so delicious.

*Gulp* That's my favorite!

“Gomen, Eiji~”

She did not forget but acted like she did because she want to avoid Fuji.

Ever since that trip to Kanagawa and her realization of having feelings for the tensai, she keep avoiding him every opportunity she had, except in their class of course.

She don’t know how to act normal whenever Fuji is around. She felt mixed emotions at the same time; nervous, shy, happy, conscious. Honestly, she don’t know how to describe what she feel and how to deal with it.

The next weekend, tennis club invited her and Aki to come along to their getaway to celebrate Oishi's birthday luckily, they had their practice match with Rikkai Dai that weekend so, she doesn’t need to make stupid excuses not to come. She’s also keeps dragging Aki to the canteen every lunch break even she’s to lazy to go there to eat just to avoid eating with Fuji.

"Anou~ Aki is waiti—"

"Wahh~ that looks delicious Eiji-kun! Did you really baked this?" Akiko cut her off and suddenly pop out of nowhere with her bento.

“Hai!” Eiji, looking proud of himself.

“Konnichiwa, Fuji-kun." Akiko smiled to the tensai.

"Konnichiwa."

"Why don't we eat in the rooftop instead? What do you think?" Akiko asked, eyeing everyone.

“W-what? But, Aki—"

"That's a great idea, nya!" Eiji closed his lunchbox, picked it up and walked out of the room with her best friend; completely ignoring her.

This is not happening to me!

"Come on lovebirds!" Akiko called her and Fuji which catch the attention of the remaining students in our classroom some even gasp and start to gossip. “I’m starving!”

"Aki!" She protested but her heart keeps pounding fast! Akiko and Eiji laughed at her reaction while Fuji had his usual smiling face.

“Omg! Fuji-kun and Tezuka-chan are dating!”

“Omg! They look good together!”

“I agree.”

“So, that’s why Tezuka-chan never entertain any suitors it’s because of Fuji-kun.”

Really? Gossiping in front of them?! Their classmates are so unbelievable!

“That's not true.” She stated. She should make things clear or else the whole school will gossip about this! “Fuji and I aren’t dating. Akiko is just messing with me right, Fuji-kun?”
