The search for the cherry blossom

(In Konoha)

It was a few days later that everyone had been informed of what happened to Sakura. Team 7 made it back to the village without Haku and Zabuza. Everyone was demanding that they go after Sakura and 'save' her.

So he sent a team of nameless Anbu lead by kakashi and Yamato. Kakashi led them to where she was last seen and found Itachi's scent. The team was tanse after that. No one spoke, and no one even looked at each other.

They noticed a few hours later that the scent vanished before reappearing near one of Orochimaru's old hideouts. The front was wide open. We walked in and found a room that was destroyed. The other Anbu went to check out the rest of the place to try and find her.

An hour later they regrouped with nothing. They left and Kakashi gave everyone a hound to try to find her scent.  Soon they found it and found a bloody scene, her headband left behind, a deep scratch through the symbol. They found a body a few feet away. It had Sakura's face and scent, her having seemingly died hours before.

The Anbu turned away as Kakashi shed a tear for his fallen student. The bright girl, despite hating the village, loved her team. If only he had caught up to her in time. He noticed the fabric in her hand and gently removed it. Akatsuki.

Unknown to them, Zetsu sank into the ground, his favor to the cherry haired Kunoichi complete.

(Back with the real Sakura)

I sighed, after hearing that Kakashi was the one to find my 'body'. I had Zetsu fake my death to throw them off. A clone that had taken some of my blood and turned into me. I killed her myself, and Zetsu took an old cloak and ripped a part off, leaving evidence.

Later I sat nex to Deidara on the couch feeling a little bad. He noticed right away, but didn't say anything. Instead just continued sculpt his clay. We sat there me watching his clay take shape. It was very beautiful.

An elegant wolf a long flowing tail. Deidara noticed my awe and smirked, making it come to life and jump in my lap. I laughed, and let the thing crawl on me.

"Do you like it, yeah?" I looked up at his wide grin and hugged him.

"I love it! Thank you!" He blushed at the praise I began to give him. I obviously loved his work. He grabbed my hand and dragged me outside, the wolf running up a tree and jumping into the air, exploding.

If anything, I loved it even more. Without thinking, I blasted up a tree using the explosions and grinned down at Deidara, who was stunned. I lepted off the tree and let lightning coat my body, fusing it with my explosions making a small thundering shockwave.

I heard and excited yell and was caught midair by a large clay bird. For a few hours we flew around, enjoying the beauty of the forest. My guilt about faking my death gone.

My eyes began to droop and I laid my head down on Deidara's shoulder, sleeping peacefully.

(Deidara's POV)

I turned, feeling the weight on my shoulder. Sakura had fallen asleep, and it was fucking adorable.

I glided down and landed, letting her ride on my back. I walked into the base, and realized everyone else was on a mission and I didn't know where her room was. I sighed and went to my own room, sitting her on my bed. I laid next to her and I let myself fall into a deep sleep.

(Tobi's POV)

I knew Deidara and Sakura were the only ones left in the base. I had been spying on them the entire time. I saw Deidara panic and snickered silently.

He took her to his room and closed the door. I waited for a half hour, now hearing his gentle snores, and walked in with a camera. Sakura had wrapped her arms around him and buried his head in her chest. Deidara had snuggled closer to her and I knew I hit jackpot.

I raised the camera and snapped a few pictures without the flash. I took out the memory card, putting it in my kamui, and snapped another, this time with flash. Both woke up with a start and saw the camera. The chase began.

I was weaving through the halls, keeping the camera out of their reach. I howled in laughter as Deidara tried to tackle me, tripping Sakura ending up with them in a heap of bodies tumbling. I knew something was going to happen so I put the memory card back, raised the camera, and snapped another picture.

This one showed them with Sakura on top of Deidara, both very red in the face. They didn't kids which made me pout, not that I would ever admit to it, and restored the memory card in my kamui. I made it out of the base hearing their screams of rage.

I got away from them and left the camera in the forest, seeing them grab it. They smashed it instantly. I sent a bird with the memory card to Kakuzu knowing he would love the blackmail.
