'What the hell is this!' Director Jeon banged his fist on the desk as he read the news on Google.
'Kim Seokjin got married to Kim Taehyung and I had no frigging clue!?'
He screamed both internally and externally, making his secretary Yu-na rush into the room. 'Anything the problem, sir?'
'You're damn right there's a problem!' Mr Jeon thundered, and Yu-na quaked in her high-heeled red stilettos. 'Send in Jimin at once.'
'Yes Sir, I will fetch Mr Park immediately.' Yu-na scuttled off, her stilettos tapping away on the tiles of the office.
'Mr Park, my foot! That fellow does not deserve to have a respectable name. Useless, completely useless!'
The door opened and a small man with rosy cheeks and blonde hair slid in, brushing the dust off his grey suit. He was blushing hard for some reason. 'You sent for me, Mr Jeon, Sir?'
'You bet I did!' Jeon Jungkook glared at him. 'What's this I hear about Kim Seokjin being married off to the CEO of Kim Enterprises?'
Jimin bowed his head. 'It is true, Sir.'
'The hell it is true! Of course it's true. Only an idiot would go around thinking stuff like this wasn't true when it had already been published in half a dozen newspapers and a million web articles. The question is, how!?'
'I...I'm not sure, Sir. I wasn't present at the ceremony, since it was a small and relatively less showy affair. I assume they said their vows, and exchanged rings, and then kisse-'
'Enough!' Director Jeon slams his palm against the oak-lined table. 'Park Jimin, I think I had made it clear that I would not tolerate any more of your tomfoolery!'
'I wasn't fooling around Sir, truly I wasn't.'
'Then how the hell did I not come to know about this? You are Seokjin's best friend, aren't you? You must have known of this weeks before the wedding!'
'Sir, I swear-
'Stop it!' Jeon Jungkook was spiralling rapidly out of control as he put his hand up, breathing heavily, the veins showing in his forehead. His shoulders heaved as he took a tissue out of his pocket and wiped the sweat. Jimin watched the beads of glistening sweat roll off his forehead in silence.
'I don't understand why his parents made this terrible decision,' Jungkook muttered under his breath, but Jimin heard it anyway. 'Worst still, how could he go through with it? I thought the man had spunk. He is a feisty one. I mean, he very clearly rejected me when I asked him out on a date.'
'I suggest you move on, Sir,' Jimin offered tentatively. 'There are many other fishes in the sea, I am sure you shall find one that suits you.'
'There is a difference between all things that live in the sea, Jimin,' Jungkook glares at his assistant. 'Not all who live in water are the same. There is a difference between a fish and a shark, a stone and a pearl. Seokjin is a pearl, a shining pearl. Ever since I first saw him in that business seminar I have wanted to make him mine. And I do not intend to let him slip out of my hands like this!'
'Sir,' Jimin says, 'you are not going to try and break the marriage, are you? That would be unethical.'
'Unethical my foot!' Jungkook spits at the floor, then wipes it with the sole of his leather boot. 'I will take Seokjin away from that bastard Kim Taehyung by hook or crook. I do not care! Besides, there is no reason why this has to turn unethical.'
A nervous sweat breaks out all over Jimin's body and he feels cold and clammy in his stomach as he stares at his immensely hot and immensely angry boss. 'What are you planning to do, Sir?'
'I do not have to take Seokjin away from Taehyung. No, I will make him come to me.'
'But Sir, that's impossi-
'I have had enough of your interruptions Jimin, go away.'
'Sir, you were the one who called me in the first place.'
'Go away! Or better still, don't.' Jungkook's eyes suddenly darken as he rakes his eyes over Jimin's figure. 'You know, Jimin, I have never really noticed how pretty you are. How about we make up for my disappointment with a good old one-night stand?'
He leans over the table and strong, firm fingers lightly touch the tips of Jimin's small ones. Jimin's breath hitches.
'Come on, baby,' Jungkook says in a sultry voice. 'Don't let me down, will you? I love you so much, Seokjin.'
Jimin's head clouds over with desperate rage as he yanks his hand away from his boss. He gets up from his chair, trembling from head to foot. Jungkook surveys him, smirking. 'What's the problem? You're so eager to begin? Already?'
'Mr-Mr Jeon-Sir-', every fibre in Jimin's body shakes with anger as he says or rather spits the words out, 'I am not Seokjin.'
He does not want to see Mr Jeon's face for a single more second and runs out of the office, slamming the door behind him. He runs down the corridor and comes to a stop in front of the men's washroom.
He bursts into bitter tears.
Poor Jiminie🥺
