Carolina came back from Germany after filming part of her fathers documentary,

She wanted to get into bed and eat ice cream until she was needed on Thursday for the driver's press conferences.

"Let me help you with those," Daniel smiled as he took his headphones off and placed them around his neck,

"You don't need to," Carolina shook her head as she had brought some things with her from her parent's house that she realised she didn't have beforehand,

And a lot of it was just pictures.

"It's not a big deal," she added as she sent him a soft smile,

"This is what a friendly neighbour does," the brunette shook his head as he took her duffel bag,

"What happened to Jasper?" The blonde hadn't seen him in a while but she didn't know that he wasn't there anymore,

"He moved back to Australia after just spending a few months here working on a project." The McLaren driver explained as they walked into the elevator,

"So you're in his place now?" The Ferrari driver held back a smile as she was excited at the thought,

"Yeah," Daniel nodded,

"There was construction that started next to my old place and the lease was about to end so I took the opportunity." He added as he shrugged,

"Are you sure that you didn't just want to get closer to me?" Carolina joked as she let out a giggle,

"That was just a benefit of it all," the brunette knew that he had two different choices and he decided to take the polite one,

"What's this?" He added as he noticed a photo slip out of her bag,

"Monaco 1999," the blonde smiled as she remembered that day clearly,

"This was two weeks before my fourth birthday." She added as she looked at the photo,

She had gotten lost after his assistant decided to take a phone call and after MIKA HAKKINEN saw the girl wandering around alone he brought her back to her father who was actually in the middle of an interview,

That photo was snapped when he picked her up and smiled placing the cap that was originally on his head onto hers.

"What?" The girl looked up at him noticing that he was studying the photo,

"You look happy," the McLaren driver noticed that she still had that same cheesy grin on her face,

"I was a kid who got to spend time with my dad," the Ferrari driver spoke in a duh tone,

"And got away from Mick too." She loved her younger brother now but back then she was not a fan of either of her younger siblings,

"Wait you two didn't get along?" The Australian was surprised by that as he had only ever seen the siblings be the best of friends.

"He was a newborn who got all of my mums attention and so did Thea." The German knew it was silly but she went from being the centre of both her parent's lives to just being her fathers in a matter of months.

"My dad always made time for me even if he was seven hours behind me and was meant to be working." She added as she tucked her hair behind her ear,

"What about races and free practices?" Daniel was trying to make the conversation a bit light-hearted as he could tell that the girl was getting upset,

"Once I got put onto his radio," when Carolina was ten she missed a race for the first time so she called him completely forgetting that he was practising,

"He heard his little prinzessin on there and almost crashed." No matter if the duo were arguing about something he always referred to her as his prinzessin even if she didn't want to talk to him.

"Let me guess you were that person who knew you were going to be a driver the second you came out of the womb?" Some kids did just know sometimes,

And the McLaren driver had a feeling that the girl was one of them.

"A saw that shade of red and knew what I was going to do," the Ferrari driver giggled as she smiled,

"But with that being said I never thought I would say that he has still never been to a race that I've done in Formula One." She added as she let out a sigh,

She knew it was selfish but she wanted her parents at races but when her father stopped going so did her mother,

The McLaren team quickly became her family after the only races she had her actual family at were the ones where Mick raced.

"We don't have to talk about this if you don't want to." The Australian knew that family was a touchy topic for her and could see that she was now visibly upset about it as she toyed with the charms in her bracelet,

"Actually it's kind of nice to talk about the good," the German sent him a smile,

"Not just what it has happened over the past eight years." It was crazy how everything just changed overnight.

"Now how have you been?" She cocked her head and looked at him as they hadn't spoken to each other in a while.

It was race day and Carolina was trying to do her last-minute rituals before she needed to head out to see her trainer,

"Anyone in here?" 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎 asked as she knocked on the door,

"Blair!" Carolina let out a cheer as she smiled,

"I don't remember the last time you were this excited to see me," the Spaniard grinned as she walked in,

"There is a lot I need to watch you up on," the driver explained as she finished braiding her hair.

"Including something that apparently has to do with my brother," 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐀 𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐎 cracked a smirk as she walked in,

"That boy cannot keep a secret to save his own life can he?" The German let out a groan,

"Definitely not," the model nodded as she smiled.
