The funeral was canceled so that Madam Moone would be able to pay her respects but she was running behind. Not the truth, but under the circumstances it would have to do. Raymond thought it best to keep what was going on inside the circle until he was sure who the enemy was at least. "It has to do with Gerry somehow." Chassidy stated the obvious truth. "You're probably right chass, but until we know for sure then expect the worst and hope for a little better than the worst." Raymond spoke to everyone. "Madam Moone said to bring Nana and go to her house." Solaris reminded everyone what Madam Moone said before hanging up the phone earlier. "Well it could be a trap or Madam Moone could of been forced to call and tell us all to come there as an ambush or something." Raymond said. "No I heard her cry for her sister, plus did you see the news?" Solaris said pointong to the television that had a breaking news story that was currently live from the helicopter filming a ten story building that read "Disgruntled female employee opens fire inside a government building injuring dozens." It had a photo of Madam Moone with wanted above the picture. "I see why she said "when she can get there" now about meeting us at her home." Solaris said while she raised her eyebrows and twisted her mouth.
Solaris looked at Jensen and mind gossiped with Nana saying. "Hey Nana?" Solaris said in her head. "Yes? Is everything okay sweetie?" Nana replied. "Jensen hasn't said a word since the beach when he found out I could still talk to you." Solaris said as she looked at Jensen staring down at the ground unmoving. "He is just thinking of ways to resolve what's going on. Let him figure out whatever it is that he's searching to figure out in his head." Nana said to Solaris. She felt bad and wanted to check on Jensen, but figured to listen to Nana, because momma always knows best.
Solaris started to feel sort of dizzy and had to sit down. Everyone was talking amongst themselves when all of a sudden everything stopped. No talking. No movement. No sound. Nothing. Solaris looked up to find everyone in the room were completely still. Like someone pushed pause on a movie. "Ummm, very funny guys you can stop pretending to be frozen now. Ha ha so not cool." Solaris said with a fake laugh at the end. Solaris knew how to find out if they were playing games because she knew that no matter how serious Chassidy was about something, she could not last a few seconds without saying something angrily at someone if she had caught them staring at her. Solaris walked right in front of Chassidy and stared at her for thirty seconds until she realized that this was no prank and they were all completely frozen.
A loud "Poof" sound came from the middle of the room about ten feet away from Solaris. A note started twirling from the pink cloud of smoke until it landed on the floor. Solaris walked over and picked up the note. In big letters on the top of the read in nice cursive handwriting "Welcome to Newly witch Academy, Solaris Van-nuyes Mueler was recently married to the warlock Gerry Mueler and had since become a witch. You are ordered to report to Newly witch academy immediately. Flip this card over and read the words aloud. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you. Signed, Selena J. Greenswald president of Newly witch academy." Solaris flipped the pink card over and in one sentence on the back she read what was written. "I am a newly witch you see so take me to newly witch academy." Solaris spoke the rhyme and "poof" she was now sitting in a reception area like you might see in a dentist or a doctors office. The room was square and filled with chairs and tables with newspapers and there was a television that was playing the live news feed of the manhunt for Madam Moone, whom was a witch also.
"Welcome to Newly witch academy dear. Please fill out this form and your counselor will call you back in a few minutes." The receptionist in the window said holding out a clipboard with a pen attached to it. Solaris did as she was instructed even though she was comepletly shocked and confused about what was going on. Solaris sat down and started filling out the form of basic information. After it was filled out Solaris walked back an handed the clipboard to the plump receptionist with the old fifties era framed glasses that had a string tied to them so they wouldn't hit the floor if dropped. The receptionist smiled and grabbed the clipboard and said." Okay dear, please have a seat and wait on your counselor." The receptionist said and closed the foggy glass partition closed. Solaris sat down and looked at the magazine selection on the table. Witchteen, Good spells, and more magazines that Solaris was positive she had never seen before an decided to just watch the t.v. of an update on Madam Moone instead. Five minutes passed and finally the door across the room opened and a middle aged woman wearing jeans and a black tank top shirt came out holding a clipboard. She was slender and about five foot eight and very pretty. "You must be Solaris, my name is Jean and I'll be your counselor at Newly witch academy." Jean said introducing herself before continuing. "Follow me and I'll get you settled into your living quarters." Jean said going back through the door and Solaris followed her hesitantly.
When Solaris walked through the door it was like she had walked into the ancient past. They were in some sort of castle type building that had cement walls and real torches hung on the wall to light their path through the dark corridor. It was lined with pictures that so far all seemed to be women and all seemed to have been hundreds of years ago when they were painted. Jean was walking with a purpose and didn't say a word for the long eerily walk. It was night time and that made it all the more reason to get to wherever they were currently headed to. They came to an open corridor with white tile flooring except for when the tile was stepped on and it changed color. It wasn't to noticeable, but had a vibrant feel of it that made it fun to watch as multiple people walked through it. There was a grand staircase that had a huge picture of a painting of a woman sitting in a chair that seemed to be moving. The closer Solaris got to the bottom of the staircase the more she saw that the woman in the painting was actually moving. The cat that was sitting in her lap jumping down verified it even more.
When Jean and Solaris reached the top of the steps was when Jean pulled a wand out of her pocket that seemed to large to be in her pocket, but under the circumstances Solaris let the "How did you just" question alone and watched. "Revealiosa" Jean said aloud and the tip of her wand started oozing out a green fog until aimed at the wall under the giant picture of the woman and the cat. When the green fog hit the wall a door emerged and Jean put the wand back in her pocket and said. "After you." Jean said. Solaris looked like she had seen a ghost and started to object before making Jean laugh and say "I'm just kidding, follow me."
They walked through the door and walked into an old timey room that looked like an office room in a home. It had a desk with two chairs on one side and a leather chair that was currently facing the window ovetlooking a courtyard that was currently bustling with women of all ages, but all dressed in the same clad outfit. "That will be all for now Jean. Let Solaris and I get acquainted please." The female voice in the chair said. "Yes Headmistress." Jean said while giving a curtsey before nodding to Solaris and walking back through the door they had just entered through. "Have a seat Solaris. My name is Headmistress and you will refer to me as Headmistress." Headmistress said as more of an order than a request.
"Why am I here Headmistress?" Solaris asked the obvious question. "Well Solaris you married a Warlock and technically that makes you a Witch and your here to learn your powers and know your limits of what you can and cannot do as a witch." Headmistress replied. "Well I'm not sure if you knew my situation or not, but I was forced into a marriage that will be annulled very soon." Solaris said assuredly. "Well until that anullment you will be a student at this academy and will learn you newfound witchcraft until you're are deemed suitable for society." Headmistress said not seeming to give a hoot about Solaris' situation at all.
"And if I refuse?" Solaris asked folding her arms in defiance. The Headmistress smiled slightly before responding. "You won't. I guarantee it."
