Anytime but present" [ Y / N ]! What are you doing?" Shina asked. The girl slammed the laptop shut, sitting up and sliding it behind herself. [ y / n ] took her earphones out of her ears, stopping the music.
"Nothing? Why?" She answers, looking hastily to left and right, coincidently anywhere but her little sister.
"Are you reading Sasuke fanfiction?" Shina asks, waking in through the door.
"No- Yeah, no-"
"What you listening to?" She says, shrugging.
"Mitski. Why?"
Shina sighed, looking away and scratching her neck.
"What?"
"You got your heart broken again, didn't you?" Shina said.
"N-No? What are you talking about?" She defended, jumping up from her sitting position. Shina hurried to sit down on the edge of the huge bed, watching [ y / n ] as she mindlessly walked around the room.
"It's obvious. This is like the 4th time it happened; it's always fanfiction about an anime character that's too old for you; you listen to either Mitski, Rihanna or Taylor." Shina listed, keeping an eye on [ y / n ].
"What are you, keeping tabs on me?" She replied, scoffing as she crosses her arms.
"No it's just so plainly obvious. When you like someone you're on your phone 24/7, the only thing you listen to is indie music- sometimes rock, and you wear pink a lot." She says, thinking and looking around the room.
[ y / n ] huffed, rolling her eyes.
"This all happened four times; it's no coincidence." Shina states.
There was silence. Not an uncomfortable silence but a silence where Shina just waited for [ y / n ] to think. Until finally, Shina spoke.
"So what happened?"
"I-" She turned around the face Shina. "I found that he was a total asshole."
[ y / n ] is a sucker for romance. I mean, [ y / n ] has fallen in love many, many times. Although her constant exposure to the brilliant guys in romance films with unrealistic personalities, her standards for men are lower than ever. What do you expect? Her first love was when she was 8!
You can't count how many tears fell down her cheek every time she got heartbroken. Although of all of this constant heartbreak, she just doesn't learn. Call her foolish, but she can't help it.
And Shina knows that.
present
"What's so special about him anyway?" She questioned, leaning on the door frame.
"Well- he's smart, um- nice and really- um nice." [ y / n ] stutters, putting on a friendly smile, looking up to her from the vanity.
"You said nice twice," Shina points out, looking at her with squinted eyes like she had lied in a murder trial.
"Well, I guess he's two times as nice," [ y / n ] says with a smile, whipping off her makeup.
"Uh-huh." She says, a scoff coming out of her mouth. She walks back into her room, [ y / n ] wondered what Shina was thinking about. But she paid it no mind and scrolled through social media.
Shina is another student, just two years younger than [ y / n ]. She's pretty talented in many things, sports, art and academic achievement. She seemed to be the complete opposite of [ y / n ]. She's humble, had a few partners and is not logically dumb. Basically, a better and younger version of [ y / n ].
There's one thing for sure that Shina didn't like this Saiki dude.
He's suspicious, weirdly quiet and no one in their right mind would wear those clips.
She'd have to be honest that she eavesdropped on them a few times, not the conversation outside but the dinner conversations. The room right next to them, her back to the wall. Shina thought multiple times that Saiki wasn't even there; his silence made her uncomfortable.
That's why she's going on a super-secret mission.
It wouldn't be like those movies, with super-spy gadgets and those really cool shades they always wear. Well- it could be, Shina has enough money to buy them, but she's pretty sure that they haven't been invented yet.
"There's a guy that I need information on." She says, looking at the two men in all black. "Names Kusuo Saiki, go."
The two men hurried out of the room; the girl put her hair in a ponytail. Her whole family thinks that she's in school right now, the school's number one student, but she was at the local gaming cafe. You see, Shina had bribed the principal to make her always present; either way, it wouldn't matter; she is abnormally smart.
People around her murmured, how could you not? When you see two men who looked like they came from 'Men in Black' took orders from someone like Shina.
The girl put coins into the machine, the screen booting up.

enter.
She had thought that maybe something would have come up. Maybe he won a competition? Perhaps he's a gold star swimmer? Why did I even think that? He's way too short.
"Ah, jeez." She says nothing, nothing and even more nothing. Not even an Instagram account.
A file was placed on her desk; she looked at the person, waving at him to shoo as they walked out. Shina sucked on the lollipop, sitting crossed leg and her hand gazed over the picture of the pink-haired boy. "Ugh, what does [ y / n ] even see in him?"
She opened the file, peering down on the typed words.
Kusuo Saiki, Student from PK Academy, Age: 17, Height: 1.71m, Weight: 58 kg, Birthdate: August 18, Occupation: Student.
Nothing out of the blue. She flipped to another page.
Nothing, nothing, and nothing. Nothing that was more than average.
You would think that after that, it would be over, that she'll just brush him off. Well, that's what she's done to [ y / n ]'s previous crushes and look how that turned out. So Shina's not going to make a mistake again.
That's why she's going super stalker mode.
