Having a boyfriend is hard.

Not because of the occasional fights or finding out about each other's differences, but because [ y / n ] wasn't allowed to flirt with anybody.

The whole school knows about the popular girl's boyfriend. People described the male as having luscious magenta hair, stylish Dior glasses, a lean, tall build and a handsome face. They would never guess that it was an antisocial neon-pink haired boy with the most average features.

The high schooler noticed more and more males approaching her when the school found out about her boyfriend. [ y / n ] met it with a weird look but still loved the attention. Though she didn't care to continue the conversation most of the time, she couldn't anyways, with the 'help' of her best friends.

"Um, she has a boyfriend- erm- sorry."

"People like you are why 'Kill all men' activists exist!"

"Sorry, my friend isn't looking for a partner."

"I wish your mom abused you more so we wouldn't have to deal with you!"

It wasn't warranted; I guess they assumed that had to. When [ y / n ] cleared everything between Saiki and her after the fiasco, they both let out a sigh of relief and a sceptical look that didn't last long. She'd been keeping on with the act for two months, making up random dates as she went along.

[ y / n ] has recently been slightly off about lying it them about it, not that she would spill the truth if she didn't have to. But they were still her best friends.

"You think this dress looks pretty on me?"

Nozomi starred into the mirror, dangling a colourful floral dress with puffs. The wild girl had baby blue eyeshadow that popped, a little bit too much blush for her pale skin and multiple clips in her hair.

"Well- it certainly matches what you're going for with your hair," Rei replied, scanning the girl up and down.

Nozomi made a weird move where she used her shoes to slide and turn to look at Rei, who was behind her. She bent down and peered towards the blonde-haired girl for a second with exaggerated squinty eyes as if she was figuring out something. Rei sat still, following where Nozomi's eyes went.

"I feel like that was an insult."

Rei gave a jokingly smug face.

"But I'll take it as a compliment. Anyways, what do you think, [ y / n ]?" Nozomi asked with a pretty smile.

"Hm, would be better with your additions!" [ y / n ] said.

"Yeah!" She cheered. She plopped it onto a large stack of clothes, full of clothes with and without hangers. They were tried out by Nozomi and [ y / n ]; some tried on and other's too pretty even to hesitate. Oh- and Rei's choice of Sunglasses right at the side.

The three hurried out of the dressing room, checking themselves out of the mirror and approaching the cashier. The cashier's face dropped as he laid eyes on the heap of clothes, getting ready for his hands to get sore.

The three paid for their clothes, clutching their plastic bags.

They head towards a local cafe, laughing and judging the window manicures with trashy fashion.
