In the decorated nothingness of his room, her eyes were to her ceiling, the plain void not touched by [ y / n ]. "This room could use some work."

What are you talking about?

"SO BORING!"

Then go back home.

She turned round and round in his swivel chair while he sat on the edge of the bed, posture straight as a wall, on his laptop. "What do you even do in your free time?"

None of your business.

"Saiki, you're doing the silent thing again."

"None of your business."

She sulked into the chair, her neck resting on the top ledge of the chain as she still stared into the plain, boring ceiling.

Saiki looked up, only a glance at her before he looked down again. "Is there anything you want to do?"

"Hm? " [ y / n ] put her foot on his desk to swivel to where she could look at Saiki. Her head tilted to the chair, looking at an unresponsive Saiki with an eyebrow raised. "Hey? What'd you say?"

"Nothing." He muttered. His eyes started to rapidly move all over the screen of the laptop while he clicked the trackpad with every tic of the clock.

"Oh." [ y / n ] said with a pop, head again to the ceiling. "This place must be making me crazy! I'm starting to hear things!!"

[ y / n ] pushed off the desk, thinking the wheels will push the chair towards the door but- THUD! "OUCH!"

The chair laid on the floor with a groaning [ y / n ] with her legs up towards the ceiling. She scratched the back of her head, eyes in-distinctively looking at Saiki. "Hey! I saw that!"

"What." He muttered, looking back at his laptop.

"I saw you laughing at me!" She accused, pushing her off the hair and onto the floor where she was much more comfortable with.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

She couldn't help but grin a chuckle, standing up from the floor and plopping herself back on the swivel chair. "A-ole."

Her face suddenly changed and Saiki looked at her, wondering what dumb stuff she was about to mutter.  "My friends invited me to the movie theater; you have to come!"

"Ok." He muttered.

"Please!! It's really good movie and I'll give you cof-" Suddenly, her mouth shut closed, blinking and grinning. "Really? You'll come?"

"Mhm." He murmured, still looking at his laptop.

"Oh. Wow- I really didn't have to be here for this long then. To be honest, I was just here to buddy up with you so that there was even a possibility for you to say yes."

Does she ever stop talking?

"There was no need for that, I guess!" She squealed, standing up and stretching her arms and the joints of her leg. [ y / n ] started to walk towards the room's door with Saiki definitely noticing. "Well, I'll take my leave. I'll text you the details, okay?"

As her hand was about to swing the door open, it was only agape when Saiki said, "You're going to go?"

[ y / n ] tilted her head towards him with almost a smile, "Oh, do you want me to stay? I can-"

"No. Thanks for the jelly. Bye." Ouch.

"You know, mum was worried about you." Going through the front door, the last thing [ y / n ] wanted to hear from was Shina, so she paid her no mind, focusing solely on her phone. "Also the thing about Father-"

"Do you not have any hobbies other than to annoy me?" [ y / n ]'s eyes narrowed; the house was unlike Saiki's. The cluttered, extravagant, and detailed mess almost choked her. [ y / n ] slumped on the couch while Shina sat, respectively, on the other.

"We can't just ignore problems in our house." She assertively replied, "We have to communicate with each other; that's how we create a positive relationship dynamic."

[ y / n ] had no idea what 'dynamic' meant. [ y / n ] just continuously tapped on her phone. "Score! He's free on Friday! Nonomi is free and-"

"[ y / n ]!" Shina yelled. [ y / n ] looked at her, just peaking over the edge of her phone.

"What?" [ y / n ] spat.

Shina's shoulders oppressed her and before she could shout anything that she'll regret later, she stormed off into her room. [ y / n ], first holding onto her stance, faltered, sighing as she laid her phone into her hand.

"Shit."
