"Michelle, wake up! For goodness sake, you are not missing the biggest day of our lives!" Brynn shouted in Michelle's ear.
"That's a bit of an exaggeration Brynn. It's only been four years." Leah said with her arms folded.
"Four of the best years of our lives and if Michelle doesn't wake up in five seconds we're gonna miss it!" Brynn said, sounding hysterical.
"Fine, I'll get her up," Leah said. She took the glass of water from the bedside table and flung it at Michelle. The cold water startled her out of her sleep and she squealed before sitting up.
"What the heck was that? Brynn! Did you just do that?" she asked.
"No, I did. And in case you forgot, it's our graduation day!" Leah shouted. Michelle's eyes widened in alarm.
"What time is it?" she asked.
"Ten minutes past ten!" Brynn said. "You have less than fifty minutes to put on a super cute outfit that screams 'I'm a graduate'!"
"Oh no, I'm late!" Michelle yelled and sprang out of bed.
"You think? What were you doing up so late? You never go to bed later than eleven usually!" Leah said. Michelle paused for a second, her hair tumbling over her face as she tried to put on some shoes. She pushed it back impatiently and looked at her friends.
"Oh, I didn't tell you yet – Brook visited me last night!" she said with a look of joy.
"No way! Shut up!" her friends squealed. "Tell us everything!"
"No time! We have to get to the grounds! I'll tell you later – Brook promised to meet me later – oh, where are my pants?!" Michelle said while spinning around the room looking for her pants.
"In your hand silly," Leah said, shaking her head. Michelle glanced down and saw them in her hand.
"I gotta get dressed... I'm a mess..." She mumbled.
"So give us some details! What happened last night?" Brynn asked.
"Er... long story," Michelle said hurriedly putting on the only clean shirt she could find. "Hey, where were you guys last night? Come to think of it, I never did get my pistachio choco cup."
"We put it away in the mini-fridge. We got back pretty late, we were hanging with the guys." Leah explained.
"Yeah, and we didn't want to wake you. Of course, you might have been sleeping at all, if your boyfriend came to visit after a year..." Brynn suggested slyly. Michelle gave her a little shove.
"It was nothing like that! We just spent half the night talking!" Michelle insisted.
"Among other things..." Leah also added with a wink. Michelle groaned.
"Get out you two, I need to dress and you're distracting me!" She said. Brynn and Leah giggled and got up to go.
"Hurry up and meet us out in ten. And keep all the details ready!" Brynn said as she and Leah left the room. Michelle blew out her cheeks.
