🚨Drivers' Warning! Kids, don't try this at home.

"No, Payton, you guys can't sacrifice yourselves like this!" Michelle yelled in panic.

"It's the only way! We can't all drive aligned on that bridge, it's too narrow and if we slipstream we won't make it!" Payton yelled.

"He's right Michelle, we need to split up!" Brook said, sizing up the situation. Michelle felt desperate.

"You guys will get caught if you do that!" She tried to argue.

"Pft, don't you trust us? We never get caught!" Paige said with a laugh that held a slight waver.

"Guys! It's now or never!" Jett warned.

"Michelle, we gotta do this," Brook spoke gently through the radio.

"We'll be okay, we'll meet you at the Estrada underpass. Don't be late!" Payton instructed. Michelle swallowed.

"You guys had better make it there safely!" she said. Paige grinned.

"Don't worry, angel face. We're –" she was interrupted by Jett's voice.

"You guys, we're hacked into the system, you need to cross now!"

"Ready, Michelle?" Brook asked. Michelle made a small sound of agreement in her throat. They both sped up, leaving Paige and Payton to fall behind, blocking the Mao You's cars' path. Michelle and Brook crossed the bridge together in the nick of time just as it began to rise from a split in the middle. Michelle gasped as she felt herself lunge forward from the incline, sliding down it on the other side.

"We did it!" Brook said as they were on flat roads again. "And there's the finish line!" a brightly lit neon blue arch of tube lights rose in front of them.

"Let's cross it together!" Michelle said, lining up her car with Brook's. They crossed simultaneously and braked hard to cut the speed down to zero before screeching to a stop. Brook got out of his car and rushed to Michelle as she stumbled out of her McLaren.

"Michelle, you okay?" He asked, enveloping her in a hug. She wrapped her arms fiercely around him.

"No! My legs feel like jelly, my heart got left behind somewhere on that bridge, and – and..." she laughed hysterically.

"And we're alive." she slapped his chest.

"Ow! Michelle!"

"Don't you ever do that to me again!" She said before crushing his lips with her own. He chuckled against them.

"I'll try not to," he said, returning her kiss with fervor and tangling his hand deep in her hair. "At least now you know what it feels like..."

"All units keep your eyes out for a light blue twenty-eighteen Nissan and a yellow twenty-nineteen McLaren, we lost sight of them!" a female voice floated through the open window of the car Brook drove.

"How—?" Michelle asked. Brook grimaced.

"Police scanner. I hacked into their frequency too," he replied. Michelle bit her lip in amusement.

"You are such a bad boy!" She teased him, running a hand seductively under his shirt over his chest. He grinned, relaxing into her touch.

"Thought that was one of the reasons you fell for me," he whispered huskily, one hand cupping her face and the other her hip, pressing her against his body. He leaned his forehead against hers, breathing heavily. Michelle let her own breath mingle with hers as they both felt themselves calm down. They were absorbed in each other's gaze for a moment until the police scanner crackled to life again.
