Chapter 20 -

Magma's p.o.v.

I take a shaky breath, and wander into Octavian's room.
"How'd it go?" I ask, fiddling with my fingers.
"Your dad is rather scary when he wants to be. But otherwise it was fine." He says, giving a small laugh.
"Well, dads are going to be protective at times, but hey. Anyway, you ready to head back? I'm a bit worried about leaving the Romans alone too long." I ask. Octavian nods his head, and we teleport back to my tent at the roman camp. When we get there there is a slight panic going around the camp. We quickly rush outside into the falling sunset, and I manage catch a name. Percy Jackson. Crap. I race towards the meeting area, Octavian on my heels, and find one of the captains.

"What's going on?" I ask, my hands shaking.
"The hades child, him and others managed to slip through the borders last night, and are now preparing for battle." One boy replies. I mutter some curses, and look around the field. "Prepare the troops! I want everyone ready for battle by sun up! We fight on the morrow!" I shout, Octavian gives a nod of approval, then rushes over to me.
"Your going to the Greek camp?" He asks. I nod.
"I'll be back soon promise. I'm also going to dad and get all the others sorted." I give him a small kiss on the cheek, before heading over to the other camp. I spot the camp rallied around a statue, the Athena patrons. I stifle a gasp as I walk towards the centre of the group. I hear murmurs around me, as I walk towards Reyna, her blond hair blowing across her face.

"Traitor." I sneer. "Your troops rally to fight, while you stand here, with the enemy!"
She looks at me curiously. "I did not betray them, Octavian did. Killing these people will not cure the gods, only peace will, and I'm willing to prove it." She states, causing a few cheers from the crowd.
"The gods cannot be cured Reyna. No matter what you say. They need to die. And I promise you, I will be the one to do it. all of you takes this as a warning, by tomorrow evening the world will be changed. Never again will we have to fight for our freedom, for our lives, for anything! We will not be pawns to the gods. Join me, and you will be rewarded, don't" I watch the the Athena patrons gets blasted to pieces, "You can crumble along with your gods."
