The next day I sent an Iris message to Tyra, asking her to join us at the camp. After a few angry words and some rude words, she finally agreed.
"Okay guys!" I started. We had just had breakfast and still had hours before the war planning. "Why don't we go see if we can train with the kids at camp. Maybe give them some tricks!" I give everyone a cheeky smile and leave the tent. I flick my hood over my head and hike over to the sword arena. Before I step in I flick my coin and it turns into a Stygitoran sword. I thought it would be the best sword for a "Child Of Hades".
I step in to a group of kids about my age, circling a boy about 18 years old. He spots me at the door and waves. "Hi, I'm Magma. Head of the army visiting. I wondered if some of us could join you today?" I smile at him. My mouth is probably the only thing he can see on my face. I could shape shift but it weakens me a bit. The hood is easier anyway.
"Sure! Pair up. We're about to start some duelling. By the way I'm Sebastian, son of Hermes." I walk over with the small group of my army. Only five of us. "Damn," I mutter, "I'm the odd one out again." But in the end I'm paired up with the "Best in the class".
He was pretty good, but it only took me about three minutes to disarm him. "You need to defend your shoulder a bit more. Thats the spot most people aim for."
"But you don't. You aim for my ribs. How about we go again now we have had time to size each other up." He gives me a cheeky smile, that make his stormy grey eyes sparkle. He pushes his blond hair out of his face and stands in the starting pose. "Children of Athena are really annoying." I mutter under my breath. And prepare to battle again.
I must admit. He did improve immensely. I had to really try, aiming at his weak spot, still his shoulder. But then all Hades broke loose. He took a swing at my arm but I ducked underneath it. As the sword went over my head the sword hooked onto my hood. Of course Chiron would choose this minute to come see if all the children were behaving. My hood ripped entirely off, exposing me to everyone. All my friends looked at me with the same state of horror on their faces. There was a second of silence before Chiron sputtered "Rose, is that you? But how?" I now realized how much trouble I was in. Chiron was probably informed of my banishment. Gave him a smile, "Hi Chiron. I prefer Magma now thanks." I transform my sword into a coin and sprint out of the arena, towards the tent.
I quietly curse myself as Jono walks into my room. "Hey, today didn't go to well?" He asks, completely oblivious to what just happened. Thunder boomed above us. "Shoot, he was fast at telling him." I whisper. "Hey look," I turn to Jono, "Tyra will be here in about fifteen minutes. Get her to get you back to Chaos ASAP. My covers been blown." I stuff my stuff into a bag and sprint out of the tent and towards the camp boundries. I let some campers follow me. Anything to let the rest of my team get away.
