I shoved the last few things into my backpack as I looked at the time on my phone.

"Crap!" I yelled as I threw my bag over my shoulder and hastily grabbed my small suitcase. I double checked my list-oh, the joys of being a control freak- and rushed out of the door just in time.

After awkwardly escaping my taxi and almost tripping over my suitcase going through the door, I arrived at the airport.

I was just boarding the plane when someone tapped on my shoulder. I ran a hand through my thick black hair and turned to see what the stranger wanted.

"Can I help you?" I said as politely as I could.

The stranger was a girl. She looked to be about 17, three years younger than me. She wore a tight vest top, a lacy skirt, ripped tights and red Dr. Marten boots. She looked more intriguing than any other stranger boarding the plane to America.

"Urm, I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your pictures and your artwork. They're brilliant!" she exclaimed, looking up at me through her dark eyes.

It was surprising to me when people recognized me. I loved being able to meet people who bought my art but I was still shocked to see strangers who knew who I was just from my face.

"Er, thank you. It means a lot." I smiled warmly at her and she grinned back.

After a lot of talking-not really my area of expertise- I found out that my new friend's name was Taylor and she was a massive fan of rock music; just like me. We exchanged contact details swiftly.

Taylor discovered that I was going to America to tour with Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria to photograph them. She got overly excited; causing many people to look toward us and scowl. Then I told her that my best friend was Ben Bruce. It's lucky that she was sat down or she would have collapsed on the floor.

After an hour or two of discussion, we both decided to get some rest. I pulled my old iPod from my backpack and plugged in my trusty earphones. The playlist I used for sleep began playing in my ears. The Mortician's Daughter by Black Veil Brides sent me into a deep slumber.

"Hayley! Wake up, we're in America!" I rubbed my eyes and turned to see Taylor grinning like a maniac. I could understand, she was here to visit her family. As well as this, her parents-who had moved to America 2 years ago-had bought Taylor tickets to a Black Veil Brides concert.

"Yea, I guess we are."

After getting off of the plane and retrieving our luggage, I was stood by myself; worrying about where my ride was. I had no idea who was picking me up, only that it was going to be someone from Asking.

A few seconds later, I found my self being surrounded by someone's skinny arms from behind. Clearly male. I could tell by the way that this man smelt of smoke and the fact that he hugged me comfortably-I don't usually hug people-that it was Ben. I turned my head to be greeted by his warm smile.

"Hey, stranger!" I exclaimed as I hugged him properly, "how ya doing?"

"Better now that I'm hearing a British accent other than the guys," he said, chuckling as he unwrapped his arms from my waist. I was quite tall, "all these fucking Americans."

I laughed and grabbed my suitcase. I quickly glanced around the airport and spotted Taylor gawking at me. I nudged Ben on the arm and told him that Taylor was a fan.

"Wait.. Hayley Black? Making friends on a plane? You fucking kidding me?" he said, sarcasm present in his voice.

"No, I'm not kidding. I actually made a genuine friend. Now be a gentleman and go say hi."

Ben walked towards Taylor, grabbing my hand as he did so.

"Hey, Taylor," I smiled at her as I spoke, "this is Ben"

"I'm not stupid! Oh my Jesus, hi. I'm a big fan!" she said quickly in her strong American accent.

"Hey. How are you?" Ben said loudly, grinning as he usually does.

"I'm.. Well, I'm great. Would you mind taking a picture with me?" Taylor smiled sweetly, taking her iPhone out of her pocket.

"Of course! Hayley, take the picture, will you?" Oh, so he's being nice now.

"Yea, yea." I muttered as I took the phone out of Taylor's hand. They smiled and I flashed the camera in their eyes. The quality on the phone's camera wasn't as bad as I expected. The picture was fairly decent.

"Well, Taylor, we must be off now. I'll speak to you soon." I said, handing her phone back to her.

"Of course! Bye!" And with that me and Ben left. Next stop, BVB's tour bus.
