I grabbed Andy's hand as I ran to the swings, it had been years since I had been to the park. The last time I had been to the park was with my father. I didn't want to talk about that yet.
As I got to the swing set I let go of Andy's hand and jumped on to one of the seats.
"Want me to push you?" Andy asked from behind me.
"Yea, sure," I replied, "I'm crap at pushing myself on the swings." Andy just chuckled and started to push me. After I was going pretty high, he sat down on the swing next to me and began to push himself.
I looked around at the park for the first time. It was fairly quiet except for a girl sat underneath a tree. She looked as if she was crying. Immediately, my concerned side of my personality came out and I jumped off of the swing when it was at it's highest point.
"What was that for?" Andy asked. I simply held my hand up and walked towards the girl. I sat down next to her and she stiffened a bit.
"Hi there, I'm Hayley and this is my friend Andy," I said, pointing to Andy who had now joined us, "you look like you're upset. Can we help?"
"Um.. W-well. I don't know. My f-father kicked me out of the h-h-house today because I was listening to rock m-music. H-he doesn't like who I a-am." the girl stuttered. She glanced up at me and her eyes widened.
"Y-you're that Hayley? Hayley Black?" she stammered after recognized my face. My cheeks went slightly pink and I ran a hand through my hair.
"Yea, I guess I am." I muttered.
"No.. You can't be.. And you're Andy Biersack? H-how is this happening?" her eyes were shining as they looked from Andy, to me and to Andy again.
"Yup, that's me," Andy replied cheerfully. Damn him. How does he not get embarrassed? "and what's your name?"
"I'm Sam. Short for Samantha. A lot of people call me Sammi." Sam acted as if she had calmed down. Andy then decided that it was ok to sit with her.
"I think that it's good that you listen to the music you want to, Sammi. I'm proud of you." he wrapped his arms around her to hug her. As he let her go she smiled slightly.
"Thank you. Black Veil Brides is my main source of inspiration. You also helped me through a lot of things. Tell the rest of the band that you met a girl named Sammi and that she loves your music and your message." Sam didn't seem fan girly at all. It was a lot better than being mauled by fans when I was with Asking or other bands I had met.
"Hey, can I get your number?" I asked her suddenly, "I can get BVB to call you and you can tell them yourself."
"Y-you would do that for me?"
"Well, of course. I'll give you my number too. When things get bad you can call me and I'll help you out." I said. We exchanged numbers and she high-fived me. I was shocked that she was such a big fan that she knew I usually didn't like hugs. It made me smile a lot.
"I'll talk to you soon, ok?" I said as we were about to go in different directions.
"Of course, thank you so much!" she called as she started walking away, plugging an earphone into her ear.
Andy and I walked a little in a comfortable silence. After a while it seemed that he was bored of not talking, though.
"You're such a good person, do you know that?" he asked me in a quiet voice.
"Well, I try to be the best person I can for the people that matter. That's all I can be." I glanced up at his face to find that he was staring at me. I blushed slightly and looked away.
"Why did you get embarrassed when Sammi said she knew who you were?" Andy was full of questions. I didn't mind at all, it was just strange how he actually wanted to know more about me of all people.
"Well... I'm not exactly sure, I guess I jus-," I pause mid sentence as I realized what he said, "how did you know I was embarrassed?"
"You blushed and then you ran your hand through your hair. You also spoke quite quietly when you answered her..." he replied.
"Ugh, damn you, Biersack!" I almost yelled, shaking my head.
"Not my fault I'm observant." he chuckled.
After we had walked a little further-talking about pointless things as we did so- we finally turned the last corner. We both walked into the bus slowly, anticipating everybody to be asleep, because they got so bored, or mental. It turned out they were all asleep, tapart from Danny and Ben. Danny had returned to his own bus and Ben was on his phone.
"Ah, finally!" Ben yelled as he heard Andy shut the door. "I wanted to talk to you Hayley. Remember, I told you in the car?" I remembered that I had yelled at him for taking one if his hands off of the wheel. He had told me that he would speak to me, but I thought he'd forget.
"Oh... that." I murmured.
"What's going on?" Andy said slowly. Oh, fuck.
"Well, I, err.. I shouted at Ben because he took his have off of the wheel." I almost whispered. I knew that Andy wasn't going to leave Ben and I to talk alone.
"What? Why?" Andy said, confusion in his voice.
"That's what I wanted to know." Ben said, staring at me.
"My parents were killed in a car accident. My father wasn't paying attention to the road." I said simply and walked to my bunk. I couldn't believe that I had known Ben for at least 2 years and I hadn't told him before.
I threw myself into my bunk and took my wallet out of my bag. I opened it to find the picture of my parents staring up at me. A few tears escaped my eyes as my head fell back on the pillow. The picture was still in my hand as I drifted into a nightmare-filled sleep.
