The car journey to the venue was interesting. Ben and I sung until our lungs hurt to whatever came on the radio. I always loved hanging out with Ben, we always had so much fun. I don't think I've ever had a friend as awesome as him. I've never really had many friends before, though. I wouldn't really know.
"You know, you're pretty good at singing." Ben said suddenly.
"Erm... I'm ok, I guess." I muttered awkwardly. I don't deal well with people complimenting me. I find it... awkward.
"No, you're more than ok. Seriously, you're fucking talented. You can sing; you can draw; you can paint; you're an excellent photographer and can't you play guitar?" Damn, what was with him being so nice?
"Yea, I can play a few things. And thank you, Ben. It's nice.. being complimented." I said quietly.
"Well, you deserve it" he mumbled as he ruffled my short hair.
"JESUS, BEN! Keep both of your hands on the wheel!" I yelled as I gripped either side of my seat tightly.
"Fucking hell, what is is wrong with you and cars?" he questioned, arching his eyebrow in confusion. I looked at him for a minute, actually looked at him. He looked.. different. It was his hair, something was different about it.. Hmm, I'd have to ask him about that later.
"N-nothing." I stuttered. I didn't want to go into it.
"Talk to me later." he said arubtly. He gave me a stern look and then swiftly moved his gaze back to the road.
It turned out that we were at the venue already. I had no idea what it was called. I knew that we were in Michigan, but we wouldn't be there for long. I couldn't remember names or directions so I probably wouldn't know where we were for the whole tour.
"Here we are. Ready to meet Black Veil Brides? Christian's really fucking excited to meet you." Ben said with a warm smile.
"Really?" I said as a blush crept up my neck.
"Yea, they all are. But Christian especially. Just so you know, he may be hyped up on energy drinks. He's gunna be fucking hyper." Ben chuckled.
"Oh, Jesus" I murmered as I climbed out of the car.
We settled into a comfortable silence as we walked the short distance to the two buses in the car park. I was glad that they looked fairly large. I would have to spend months trapped on one of those with 5 guys who take up too much space.
Before we opened the door to the bus, Ben turned round and told me to 'be fucking calm'. He though I was a fangirl because I knew a bit about a few bands.
"Jesus, Ben, I'm not gunna scream." I huffed.
"You say Jesus too fucking much." he replied.
"Hypocrite! You say fuck too fucking much!" I retorted. He stuck his tongue out at me and I pinched it between my fingers. He tried to tell me to stop but it sounded like a load of jibberish.
"Shut up, Ben." I chuckled as I released his tongue. He turned away swiftly and opened the door to the bus.
"She hurt my tongue!" he yelled as he stormed into the bus. I slowly walked in behind him, taking in the sight before my eyes.
Andy was laying on the floor with a bag of some kind of candy and Jake was trying to take the bag off of him. Danny and Sam were chatting to each other on a couch, a can of beer of some sort in their hands. I couldn't see Cam and James anywhere. Christian was bouncing up and down on his seat as he looked up to see me. I flashed him a smile and he waved back. Ashley, who was watching him with amusment in his eyes, turned to look where Christian did and his eyes met mine. I waved my hand slightly at him.
"Woo! We got a looker!" Ashley yelled. Then he whistled at me which caused me to blush and look at my feet. I scratched the back of my neck nervously, a bad habit, and then ran a hand through my hair. How awkward.
I had barely looked up when someone's arms were around me. They certainly weren't Ben's. I threw the arms off of me and stepped back.
"Don't do that." I said viciously. I didn't mean too, hugs just made me uncomfortable. I didn't like being uncomfortable.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know you didn't like hugs!" Christian said loudly.
"It's ok," I said, scratching the back of my neck again, "you were trying to be nice.."
"HA!" Ben yelled suddenly, causing most of us to look at him, "she likes my hugs! I win!" with that he stood up from his place on the couch next to Danny and bear-hugged me. I hugged him back.
"Erm, anyway," I said as Ben released me, "I'm Hayley, your photographer. I know who you are. Now the hugging nonsense is over, is there anywhere I can get some fucking sleep?"
