ch 2:shelter

Ow I thought as I went to rub my head. I felt like I got hit by a truck. But I was warm. And I liked warm.

This is nice, I thought, wait....where am I? I sat up suddenly, looking around. I was in a white bed. In a small room. With an IV in my arm and had bandages over all the cuts and some type of cast around my chest. I rubbed at my left eye, feeling a patch there.

I blinked as the door opened and a man walked in. (A.N. I'll be calling furrys by man and woman to not confuse myself)

He looked up surprised as he saw I was awake. We both stared at each other for a moment, then he smiled and waved slightly, "hello there little one. How are you feeling?"

I let out a small squeak and hid under the blanket. Hearing him chuckle as he stepped out. I heard him say something about calling 'the captain' and 'he's awake' before he came back and checked my IV.

I peeked out at him shyly as he did and when he glanced at me he looked almost amused. "Is it okay if I check your bandages?" He asked as he gently picked up my arm.

I flinched but held still as he checked over my arms. Then he reached for my face and removed something from over my eye.
Huh...it doesn't hurt anymore, I gently touched my face. Feeling the bandages on my cheeks and chin. Then along my neck.

"WHERE IS HE! I WANT TO SEE HIM ALREADY!" The loud squeals sounded down the hall along with the sound of running, "ALEXIS! STOP RUNNING!" I flinched at the authoritive yell as the door flew open and a small gray blur came sliding to a stop.

We stared at each other for a second, before she let out a loud squeal and started jumping up and down. Causing me to duck under the blankets again.

"Alexis. Calm down. Your scaring him" I closed my eyes. Drake. After it was silent for a bit I slowly peeked out of the blanket seeing the loud girl, who I'm assuming is Alexis, the male, drake, and another woman staring at me in a cold calculating way.

"Hello." She said and turned to the doctor.
"How longer before he's released?" The doctor smiled and checked a chart, smiling again and answered with, "he can leave after I'm done with the check up if you want to check him out."

I felt someone touch my head and flinched, expecting to be hit, instead feeling someone just pat my head, I looked up to see Alexis smiling at me. Drake stood next to her.

"No hard feelings about the ally, right?" I nodded slowly as he watched me. He nodded and walked out of the room.

"Alright bud. One last thing," he placed something against my chest, "take a big breath, now let out. And deep breath. Good job." He said after he was done. "See y'all soon. He's free to go. Also try not to stress him to much. And feed him. He's gonna need it." The woman nodded as the doctor left. Drake came back with some type of bar in his hand, "here. Peace offering." He held it out to me. And I took it hesitantly. He watched me as I took a small bite. Then another bigger one. Before wrapping it and putting it in my pocket.

Timeskip:

We pulled in front of a large house and the woman. Who I learned was called Sadie. Turned off the car and got out. Alexis helped me out and led me inside. I froze as several people turned to look at me.

"Well, well, well. Looks like cap finally listened to Alexis." One said while he grinned. Causing several of them to chuckle, As Alexis beamed happily.

A.N. I'll do introductions next chapter. Rn I'm gonna try to sleep as I've been up for 48 hours and it's currently midnight.
