Blake's POV

Alexis was teaching me how to play checkers while Roxy and Kiley were watching TV. Sadie was cleaning a rifle at the table, while everyone else had left to go to the "bar" or whatever that is.

"So. You think you have the gist of it?" I nodded.

"Okay. Now let's-" there was a knock on the door. "Who could that be?" Alexis went to answer the door while Sadie stood up and walked beside me.

"Sir!" Alexis yelped as a large rhino fur walked into the room. Sadie snapped to attention and saluted as I hid behind her.

"At ease, now, captain. I have a new member for your team." The large fur stated, "she has exceptional skill and would make a great addition to your team. Kira, come in"

A brown dingo fur strolled in casually, I ducked behind Sadie again.

"Hello mates. Names kira." She held her hand out to Sadie, "nice to meet ya."

"Erm." Alexis butted in while Roxy glanced at me, "how do you feel about humans?"

"Humans?" Kira looked at Alexis incredously, "I think they're adorable little things. Always wanted one. Never could afford it though." She looked at Alexis, "why?"

I looked out from behind Sadie as she said that,

Kira screamed shrilly, "OH MY GOD! ITS SO CUTE!

Causing all of us to jump, and I ducked behind Sadie again. She's strange I thought as Alexis started talking with kira about me.

"Blake," I looked up at Sadie, "go sit down. I have to talk to the chief." I nodded quickly and sat on the couch, twiddling with The cuffs on my sweatshirt.

"Hello cutie" I jumped when kira whispered in my ear, "how are you?"

She frowned when I backed up to the other side of the room.

Oh God, what do I do? Can she be trusted? I panicked as she came closer, stopping only a few feet away.

"You okay?" She asked as Alexis walked in.

"Hey!" She put her hands on her hips, "what are you doing" she got in kira's face, who was looking extremely confused.

"I-I just wanted to say hi and introduce-"

" We told you we would introduce you to him, Blake sit down buddy," I sat down again, while Alexis explained why I panicked.

"So I scared him?"

"Yes. Yes you did."

"Awwww. I'm sorry little guy"

I nodded and smiled to show it was alright. Before yawning. Alexis checked the time.

"You tired Blake?" I nodded and rubbed my eyes. A small squeak was heard from kira, "so cute!" It's ok to go to bed when you want to Blake," we all turned towards Sadie.

"Kira come with me. I'll show you your room. Alexis wait here," she ruffled my hair, "and you get some sleep. We have to go to town tomorrow."

"Soooo...." I heard kira say as I walked out, "how long till I can pet him?"
