As stated, in the year 2012, the world is populated by migas, or half-breeds. The name came about as a greek word for such, but there are many types of migas. Altogether as a whole, Migas first appeared around August of 1990. At the time it was dismissed, seen only as a hoax. Nowadays, it is a somewhat common sight to see one, but they are looked down upon by humans. Each Migas takes on a different appearance and abilities based on which animal they resemble. Here are some of such.

Neko:

A half-cat, half-human. Typically are born with pointy teeth, cat-like ears, and a tail. Sometimes are also born with strong & sharp nails. It is often known that these migas have great eyesight, incredible hearing, and live in small clans. The rules are strict there. There are four major clans: The Clan of Rising Sun, which is stationed in Japan, The Clan of Setting Sun, which is stationed in China, The Clan of Dusty Winds, which is in Kansas (USA), and the Clan of Free Spirit, which is in the Amazon. In most clans, except for Clan of Free Spirit, if you are born with a disability, such as blindness, deafness, a chronic illness, a learning disability, or even something as little as anosmia, you are abandoned to die by the hands of whatever may take you. It is most likely believed that those kits are taken as slaves by the humans (like any other migas) or killed by humans. Nekos are the oldest breed of migas, but the most rare.

Harpy:

The bird hybrids. There are two types of Harpies; bright and dark. Bright harpies are born with wings on their backs, which can retract, sharp teeth, bright-colored feathers, and a naturally playful nature. Dark harpies have wings for arms that can change into arms with great training, sharp teeth, darkly colored feathers, and a naturally devious nature. There are three large Flocks; Flock of the Free Spirit (Amazon), Flock of the Darkened Spirit (New York- all dark harpies), and Flock of High Winds (Washington, US.) Both types of Harpies are naturally beautiful as women, and naturally handsome as men, which often makes them prone to be sold as sex slaves. Harpies are the second-oldest breed of migas, just after nekos.

Kitsune:

A fox-human hybrid. These hybrids run solo, staying only as a family unit and potentially as close friends. Most kitsune are born with fox ears, a fox-like tail, and sharp teeth. Sometimes Kitsune are mistaken for their brethren, Nekos and Ookami, but unlike either, Kitsune can transform into their animal counterpart. They have great eyesight, outstanding hearing, and a good sense of smell. Unlike nekos, if born with a disability, they are kept and nurtured. Although isolated

From other kitsune, they are great friends to have.

Ookami:

A wolf-human hybrid that is closely related to Kitsune. These hybrids, unlike Kitsune, are often always found in a large pack, but typically away from other Ookami and cities. Most ookami are born with wolf ears, a wolf tail, and sharp teeth. They have an extremely heightened sense of smell and hearing, but their eyesight isn't much better than the average human's.

Medusai:

A snake hybrid. They are usually very mature and independent, with the most control over their abilities. There are some small tribes of Medusai, and in each tribe the leader has a certain body shape: a snake tail for legs, hardened skin, two pointed teeth, and are cold-blooded. The followers have snake-like hair, visible scales in some places, hardened skin, sharpened and hardened nails, and sharp teeth. some non-tribal Medusai are able to switch between such forms at will. The largest Medusai tribe is in the Amazon.

Aquari:

A fish-human hybrid. Similar to the fictional mermaid, Aquari are able to breathe underwater and swim fast. They are also able to go on land. They do not have tails- for the most part. There are two breeds of Aquari; Sirens and Ichthi. Sirens are rare, and are most like mermaids. They are often mistook for fish because of their fish-like tails and are killed. They can go on land, and when they do, their tail disappears, replaced with legs. These Aquari have a strange tattoo on their leg that vary from person to person. It is similar to a birthmark. Ichthi, on the other hand, do not have tails, nor do they have separated toes. Their toes are longer and are webbed, as well as their ears (look at diagram above.) They also have gills on their neck that are hidden when not used. They are quick underwater, but not as fast as Sirens.

Taurus:

A bull-human hybrid. Named after the zodiac, ironically most Tauri are Tauruses. They have small bull horns, despite their gender. They have a stubborn and protective nature. Tauri can live almost anywhere. Tauri are some of the neko's best friends- the two breeds nearly never fight.

Moonkai:

A monkey-human hybrid. These hybrids are quite rare, considering they have only appeared recently. Most are found in the Amazon, or in normal places where actual monkeys live. These hybrids have small monkey ears and a monkey tail. They can jump high and typically are limber.
