Just some writer's notes!
Hi! Thank you so much for considering reading my story! Just some notes before you start:
- The story is already all complete. I'm just posting chapters roughly once a day, so if you're the type that prefers to read completed stories, no need to worry!
- I wrote this story three years ago when I was 16 over an amazing summer (for some reason I tend to write really depressing stuff when I'm at my happiest?). This doesn't mean I don't want anyone critiquing my writing (please do, actually! 👌), but my writing style has changed considerably during this time. Just something to keep in mind!
- This story starts off quite light but becomes very dark as it progresses, and may be distressing to some readers. If you are triggered by antisemitism, child abuse, genocide, Holocaust imagery or content regarding WWII, this book may not be suitable for you. Your mental health is more important than reading a Wattpad story; please take care of yourself!
- I'm a newborn when it comes to Wattpad; I've noticed that people design chapters (or 'parts' as they're called) in a way that I'm not really used to. A.K.A, short and to the point as to intrigue readers, which is awesome! Again, I'm just really not used to dividing my stories in that way, and my chapters range from 4000-8000 words long most of the time (roughly 30 mins to read, depending on your speed). I might change the design of my chapters for Wattpad in the future, but as of now I'm keeping them as I've always had them, because I believe it's the best way to divide this story. Just a heads up :) (and this is not shaming other stories that use the short design, I actually love it and people have used it really well on this platform!)
- The characters are led to different countries in Europe throughout the story, including Germany. German is spoke every so often in later parts of the story, however I am not and do not speak German, so all translations are done via Google Translate, and they may not be accurate at all! If you are German and you notice any grammatical errors in the German translations, I'd love to hear from you to correct any mistakes. Same goes for the French and Italian (though I have studied those!).
- That's it! I really hope you give my story a chance, and if you do, I really hope you enjoy it! Thank you for any support you give, whether that be votes, or simply reading the first chapter. Regardless, it means so much that people would consider reading anything of mine! ❤️
