"Ave, come downstairs now, you're leaving for school." Ava's mom shouted as Ava ran downstairs. "I could've stayed at my other school, but no we had to move." Ava sighed.
"You've got to stop complaining about this, go get in the car, your dad is waiting." Her mom replied.
She and her family had just moved from another town and she didn't like it, but the only thing she was looking forward to was reinventing herself at this new school, not because she was a bad person, but due to the fact that she likes to be cliché.
"Come on Ave, cheer up, it's a new opportunity." Her dad said when he saw the expression Ava had on her face, just waiting for this to be over, but he received no response, "Have a good day, and maybe try not to be mean to anyone." He continued. "I'll try," Ava said, while hopping out of the car, her father watched her as she walked into her new school. Coral Springs.
I can smell the rich kids with daddy issues from here.

"WHAT THE- WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!" Cameron yelled, while his older sister Caroline laughed after pouring water on him, to wake him up. "It's your first day, and guess what, you're late." She said as she took out some clothes for him and threw them at him. "Get dressed."
Cameron lazily sat up and walked towards the bathroom to get ready, not caring if he was late or not.
He didn't move towns, just schools. His mother thought it might be better for him to receive a 'higher education', or whatever, but he didn't really care much, since he doesn't like social interaction in general. His mother worked various shifts so Caroline looked after him most of the time and his dad, well, he doesn't know, he left when Caroline was five, so she doesn't remember much of him and Cameron never got to meet him. Was he upset with him? No, maybe, just a little.
Cameron walked downstairs. "Why are you so slow? Oh, also, I won't be able to drive you to school, I have a job interview, so you have to walk there." Caroline said while she was sitting on the couch drinking coffee and looking at her phone. "Are you serious right now?" Cameron rolled his eyes.
He walked to school knowing he was pretty much late. He finally arrived and his eyes met the sign that read "Coral Springs High School."
Well shit.

"Hi, who is supposed to give me the school tour?" Ava asked the lady at the front desk in the office. "You must be Ava Zimmer." She replied, while writing something down on a notepad with an unbothered expression on her face, not even looking at her.
Well, that's kinda bitchy.
"Amelia, she's here!" The lady yelled to a girl in the back, the girl walked up to Ava with a weirdly big smile. "Hi, I'm Amelia, but you can call me Millie."
Basic name, huh?
"I believe you're Ava," she said and Ava nodded. "Great! We're just waiting for the other new student to arrive, to start the tour."
As Amelia said that Cameron walked into the office and went up to the lady at the desk. "Hello, I'm Cameron Nichols and I'm supposed to be getting a tour of the school." The lady looked him up and down with disgust written all over her face. "Hi, I'm Amelia, I'm going to give you the tour. This is Ava, the other new student." The blonde said, while Ava and Cameron awkwardly looked at each other.
"Okay, let's get started, follow me!"

Ava wasn't really paying attention to anything Amelia was saying, she was just looking around at how the people were acting, while she was trying to overhear their conversations.
"Wait, we both went to Paris this summer?"
"BRO, YOU SCRATCHED MY PORSCHE!"
"Yes, it's custom-made, just for me."
I already hate these people.

The only part Amelia said that Cameron heard was "This school is known for being one of the best in the country, for sports, and for having students that have parents with a high social status." After that, he just stopped listening. He wasn't interested anyways, the only thing he wanted to know was where the bathrooms were.
"Hey...could we maybe skip the whole history thing about this school and get to the important part," Ava asked.
"What do mean by important part?" Amelia asked, with a confused expression.
"Umm...the hierarchy here."
This is the most cliché shit I've ever heard. Cameron thought.
"What makes you think there's a hierarchy here?" Amelia nervously asked. "Well, these are mostly rich kids, there HAS to be one," Ava said, finally being interested in whatever Amelia had to say.
Amelia pulled both of them aside in the hallway so that they could talk with a bit more privacy. "Okay, I can tell this. Most of these people are completely irrelevant and while it does depend on the amount of money you have, it's mostly the people that let you in their circle, since the students here are very exclusive with everything."
Rich people stuff.
"There is a specific group of people standing on the top of the school "hierarchy" to say the least, but if I am to give you one piece of advice to survive here, it is not to associate yourself with them," Amelia explained, while Ava and Cameron just stood there in confusion.
"What do you mean?" Cameron asked.
"I can't tell you, but try your best not to, okay?" Amelia continued.
Not like I was going to. Cameron thought.
I have to talk to these people. Ava thought. "Who are they?" She asked with curiosity.
"Here they come."
