After they did it, Parker went straight to the shower, and Kornelia got dressed again. She regretted what they did, she was finally over him, but now, she's back into hat toxic cycle.

She sat back down on her bed, numb. Even if she enjoyed those feelings of not being able to resist him and his charms, she hates him for it. He knows how to make her weak and do what he says. She can't help, but quietly sob. It was tearing her apart. The guilt, the numbness, the slump.

She wants him to leave her life so bad, but she can't bring herself to tell him how much it's affecting her, because she needs him. It feels like they're back where they were before, an endless cycle. Even if she hates it, he is so breathtaking. Her heart stops by just looking at him, it could be an exaggeration, but she dosen't think it is.

She wasn't the only one feeling like this. Parker was just standing in the shower, thinking about what they just did. She ruined his self worth. At one point he felt like he was nothing without her. The last thing he wanted was to get back into that toxicity, but the way she tempted him, worked every single time.

Their relationship was destructive, but they couldn't help, but get back into it, because "the risk was worth taking".

Parker walked out of the bathroom in his boxers. As soon as he walked out, he noticed Korneia quickly wiping her tears away. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked. "Yeah, I'm fine, you?" She replied, of course, she was lying. Kornelia watched, as he put on the sweatpants he was going to sleep in. "I'm fine." He replied, also lying.

Her back was facing him. He got closer and wrapped his arms around her.

I'm such a fool. Kornelia thought, while letting him embrace her.

He gently stroked her hair to help her fall asleep, because he noticed how she felt the same way he did - helpless. He knew that by doing that, he broke her more, but he didn't mean to.

It was so bad, but if felt so good to be under his warmth and protection. Parker knew he shouldn't have put his arms around her, he had suffered too much in one day, but she was so close to him, he just did it. The worst part is, neither of them back away, they just stay there - accepting the fact that they would always go back to each other, no matter what. In the end it was him and her.

Kornelia turned around and faced him. "Why did you do that?" She asked, with hurt in her eyes. "Do what?" He quietly asked. "Tempt me, when you knew how much it hurt me." She stated. "I don't know why I did it, honestly and it hurts me too...so much." He replied, looking away from her eyes. "We can't keep doing this." She said. "I know, but I somehow end up going back to you every time." He added. "I hate that about us." She continued, with a light chuckle. "Yeah." He added, with a smile.

They both fell asleep in each others arms...and the cycle continues.
