Quaxo frowned as he saw Tugger run off and looked at the cat standing on the street. She had just been looked down on- like something unimportant- but didn't look hurt by that.

"Grizabella," Coristo whispered. Quaxo nodded.

"She hasn't gone up to the Heaviside Layer yet...!" Quaxo trailed off with his words when he remembered something really cool that made his heart leap.

He kept a straight face as the others tiptoed out of the bar, looking at Grizabella with cold, unkind eyes.

For them, it's all new! I know it's going to happen- but I mustn't spoil it for them. Especially Misto.

Raduan appeared next to him. "Yoooooo," he said, "this is dope! She hasn't-"

"SHHHHHHH!" Quaxo covered up his friend's mouth and hissed, "Don't. Spoil. It."

Raduan put both of his paws up. "Okay. Sorry."

Quaxo deadly rolled his eyes and looked closely as the other cats filed out of the bar. Misto patted his shoulder lightly and said, "That's Grizabella."

"I know," Quaxo said knowingly. Misto frowned but led Quaxo outside. They took a closer look- she was just as her song described her- tattered, heartbroken, sad. It would make anyone's heart feel uneasy... if they were kind enough.

Victoria curiously looked at her but were pushed away. There was almost a connection between the two cats-

Cassandra and Demeter were the lead of the cats with a sharp look in their eyes. Their gaze could have frozen water in July.

Grizabella looked at them uncomfortably and started to sing in a discouraged but steady voice,

Remark the cat who toward you

In the of the door opens on her like a grin

You see the of her coat is torn and stained with sand

And you see the corner of her eye twist like a pin

Quaxo noticed the cats frowning. Ah, yes, of course they still didn't know, but their gaze was still so deadly! Because he had been one of them last year, he didn't notice how hurtful it really was.

Grizabella tried to sing some other words when Cassandra stopped her.

She haunted many a low resort

Near the grimy road of Court

She flitted about the No Man's Land

From "The Sun" to "The at Hand"

Demeter joined in.

And the postman sighed as he scratched his head

"You'd really had thought she ought to be dead"

And who would ever suppose that

That was Grizabella, the glamour cat

The two of them sang the last part mockingly, until Munkustrap stopped them. Quaxo couldn't tell rather he stopped them because he thought that was too mean or because he thought messing around with Grizabella was a waste of time. Quaxo huddled together with Coristo and Raduan- they all didn't want to ruin the song but it seemed too cruel to sing as well.

Grizabella, the glamour cat, Grizabella, the glamour cat

And who would ever suppose that

That was Grizabella, the glamour cat

Everyone- all except the vistor-trio, came together and sang the haunting words until Grizabella couldn't take it anymore- she hissed, tears in her eyes, and went back to where she belonged- the wasteland. She wobbled into the streets with flickering lights above her.
