Amaïa

I woke up the next day wrapped in his arms my eyes stinging from all the crying I rolled over to face him realising he was already awake
"You alright darling?" he asked me
"No" I respond causing him to bring me into his chest. I felt his heartbeat against the side of my face it was faster than usual but I just presumed it was because he was thinking. I let some tears spill again leading me into a sobbing mess. The thing about Amaïa was she had been my best friend my whole life we had been through everything together we grieved together.
"You should talk to her" he nodded at the room she occupied
I walked over to her door still sobbing gently knocking
"Maia" I chocked out my hand
"come in"
I walk into her room
"Look I'm sorry I didn't mean it I promise "
"It's alright I didn't mean it either" she replied bringing me into a hug
We spoke about everything for a while JJ leaving the chateau in the meantime.
Work was uneventful really just Maia getting fired thanks to rafe. Later that evening I find myself at the beach alone thinking about life and my parents and Maia. I loved her more than anything she's like my sister we were born on the same day in the same hospital leading to our parent's meeting she's everything to me.
I hear footsteps in the sand causing me to pull my jumper sleeves down I  turn to see J walking down to me
"Hello angel baby" he spoke laying his head I'm the crook of my neck
"Hello pretty boy" I smiled at him
"What's going on in your head?" he questioned me
"I don't know J" I reply glumly
Not a lot more words were shared that night we just sat together watching the sun fall on the horizon.
