𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 [𝟑]

chapter four.

        

     NOW THERE she was, standing in front of the tree as the man walked in. Someone who she thought she knew in all honesty. The others got to their positions while he slowly made his way into the mall, hand on his gun holster which he then pulls away at the sight of her. His wife in front of the "hanging tree".

He slowed down when he saw the look on her face and he just stared at her, feeling like he was in trouble. He slowly approached her and she let out a small sigh. All those laughs, cries she has shared with him... it was all just a fucking lie. It all felt like it was fake now.

"Ba--" "No... don't do that. I want to know." She says, cutting him off before he said one of his usual terms of endearment he had for her. "Is it... how you won me over? Like some prize for you? A trophy wife because you knew I didn't love you that way?" She said to the man.

"What? What are you talking about?" He played dumb and she scoffed. "You know... And I know, Nick. Please just tell me the truth for--" "yeah. I did. I made you mine this way. Happy? You wanted the truth..." He says and she slowly shakes her head. "It's cause you knew I'd chose Ziggy in a heartbeat..." She whispered and he was about to reach for her, in a menacing manner when she pulled the rope.

He raised his gun as the mixture of paint and blood splattered all over him, she turned to run towards where Ziggy was as they pulled up the gates when he ran over to Andy, grabbing her around her neck. "You're going down with me, honey." He whispers to her.

"Deena! Get them away from me! If I die, she dies!" He suddenly shouted at the teenage girl he was now holding his gun at. Andy was screaming and trying to get Nick's arm off her as the killers all run towards them. "Get back!" The officer simply shouts at them when Skull Mask stabs him from behind so she finally got out of his grasp, running towards Ziggy.

Harry Rooker, however, gets a grip on her before she can even get there and she screams, trying to push the Milkman off. "Your blood is on her!" Nick shouts as Marcus' eyes widen. "What the fuck do we do?!" He hits Josh. "It's on Andrea!" Nick shouted then Skull Mask attacked him as the Milkman flipped over him and Andy, she got under him and she tried to keep him from stabbing her by holding his arm as she screamed for help, when the Milkman stopped and turned his attention to Deena.

Andy scoffs, rolling his eyes when he saw Nick didn't hesitate to get up and run as the Milkman got off of her. "Go! Go! We got 'em!" Josh shouted to his sister as Ziggy runs up to Andy, "take your jacket off!" She rushed as Andy stood up, "okay, okay!" She said as she took off the jacket and tossed it to the floor and Ziggy wiped the green liquid off her face.

As Deena runs into the mall's hallways to chase after Nick, the others, Josh, Marcus, Martin, Andy and Ziggy run into one of the stores where they bring down the gate quickly.

While in the store, Marcus went over to his aunt. "Are you seriously okay? You didn't get hurt?" He asked and she quickly shook her head. "Ma-maybe this is better... even if he's a killer, it's not like I wanna watch my husband get murdered..." She said and he scrunched up his face. "What? We were still married..."

"Okay, we need a plan B, like now." Martin says, standing at the gate. "No..." Josh says and looked at them, "we just need more Plan A." He said, looking around the outside of the store that they were currently locked up in.

Once Josh goes over the plan, they quickly pull up the gate as Andy stays by the gate so they can do as they planned to. Marcus, Ziggy, Josh and Martin all grab the water guns and sprayed each of the killers with it before ran into the store again which Andy quickly locks before they sit in the display to get a better view.

"I got that creepy perv motherfucker in the bullseye." Martin says, sitting down. "This is gonna work, right?" Marcus asked, looking at Josh. "When have I ever given you a reason to doubt me, Mar?" Josh asked as the killers walk towards one another.

Just then, the Grifter lifted up the Milkman into the air before tossing him to the floor. "Holy shit..." Marcus whispered. Nightwing comes running, hitting the Grifter right in the back of his knee. It wws working. Skull Mask comes in hot, stabbing Nightwing.

The axe slides across the floor, out of Nightwing's grasp and hits the wall near them. Milkman then stabs Nightwing in the throat as Skull Mask now jams the knife the side of the Grifter's stomach, who then body slams him onto the floor. Nightwing then holds a knife to the Grifter's throat which was the Milkman's. "This is... crazy... I don't know which side to watch." Marcus whispers quietly.

"Guys?" Josh suddenly says. "What?" Marcus glanced at him. "We lost Sam." He stated casually. Marcus couldn't stop watching the fight, it was just too mesmerizing? In a way, it kind of was, when suddenly all of them were all on the floor, dead and in bits and pieces.

"I know they're dead, but that's not gonna last. We don't have a lot of time. We have to get ready to fight." Josh says as he opens up the gate. "Wait!" Ziggy grabs Josh. "What the hell is that?" Martin asked as they all look at the boy walking up to the candy machines.

He began wacking his bat against them as they then hear that fucking song again. You Always Hurt The Ones You Love. Simon comes across Marcus' mind as he took a deep breath.

"Ruby."
