𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 [𝟑]

chapter one.

LATER THAT night, Deena and Josh came back and frightened Marcus and Christine in the bathroom, the woman raising her knife, gasping. "Oh, Jesus Christ!" She exclaims. "Look at her! I told you it wouldn't work! There's no ending it." She tells the two teens, noticing the looks on their faces.

"What is it?"

"We need to talk."

Deena now fills in Marcus and Christine about everything, which made the woman gasp and fall to her knees. "We can't kill the devil, so... we have to kill him." Deena says, talking about Nick as the woman now looked up at her.

"We need to kill Nick Goode."

"But I called her... I called his wife. He-he's probably coming with her. D-Do you think Andy knows? Do you think she's in on it?" She said worriedly, looking towards Marcus who's brows furrow together. "Hell no. Andrea isn't that type of person... you said so yourself." Marcus says, putting his hand to her shoulder.

"She betrayed me once, Marcus... who says she won't do it again?" She stood up suddenly and Marcus watched as Deena also got up. "We need to go. Now!" She tells him before going to the bathroom to get Josh and Sam.

They put Sam in the trunk and just then, a car pulled up. "Who-who is that?" Deena whispered worriedly and Marcus just stared at the car that came to a stop, the woman got out. "Hi Mar... Hi Ziggy..." She said, it was Andrea Goode. "Is-is it true? Is it happening again?" She asked, shutting the car door. "No. Not at all." Ziggy immediately shook her head at Andy.

"Yes, yes, it is, Andrea... Come on, we can trust her." Marcus told Ziggy who immediately shook her head. "I-I just wanna help. Especially if it's my nephew wrapped up in all of this." She said and Deena pointed at her. "Your husband's a killer." She said suddenly making Andy quickly look at her with confusion.

"What?" She said loudly and Ziggy nods. "He's a killer..." She says, backing up Deena as Andy slowly approached them. "So what's the situation here? You guys look like you're in a rush." She says and Josh nods. "We are. So let's go." He said and got into the passenger seat of the cop car as Andy, Ziggy and Marcus all got into the back. "What are we doing exactly?" She asked and Ziggy glanced at the teens.

"We're gonna have to kill your husband, auntie..." Marcus sighed and Andy's eyes widen. "What?! Why?!" She exclaimed and Ziggy groans. "Told you guys we can't trust her..." She said and Andy sighed. "You guys wanna murder my husband... so of course I'm concerned?" She says as Josh gives directions to Deena.

"Your husband makes deals with the devil and turns innocent people into killers. Cyrus Miller, Isaac Milton, Billy Barker, Harry Rooker, Ruby Lane, Cindy's boyfriend, Tommy Slater, everyone else who they said has snapped or lost their mind? All possessed by the devil... Because of your husband. It's the only way to stop the curse." Deena explains it all and Andy sat there, slightly puzzled by it all.

Then she looked at Ziggy, "that all true, Berman?" She said quietly and Ziggy glanced at her, looking at her in the eyes before she nodded. "Yeah... pretty much." She says and Andy let out a soft exhale. "Okay... let's... go kill my husband. Sure." She nodded, only all in because Ziggy said so, she really missed her.

"Should be up here on the right." Josh said so Andy turns her attention to the front. "Wait. Are we sure about this?" Ziggy now asked as Josh glanced back at them. A business card in his hand, about Martin P. Franklin. Andy knows him, he works at the mall.

They turn to the right onto Fier street, coming up to the house where the man was lighting a joint. The siren goes off as he stood up, putting his hands behind his head. "Hey!" Josh shouts, looking out the car window.

"Urkel?"

"Yeah!"

"Uh..." Josh sets his arm onto the door, "wanna help us kill Sheriff Goode?" He called out to the man who doesn't seem fazed at all by the question. "Let me get my coat." He simply said, pointing to the front door.

They wait as Ziggy now squished in the middle with Andy to give the man space who shut the door, looking to them. "This many of you hate Goode too?" He said, then he pointed at Andy. "That's his wife... how do you know she isn't gonna snitch on us?" He said as Deena drove off. "I'm only in it because they told me he's a killer... so... what's your reason?" Andy now asked the man sitting on the other side of Ziggy. "He's fucking evil." He simply says.

"True." Marcus says, rolling his eyes and looked at Andy. "No offense, auntie, but I've been wanting to punch him in the fact since I first met him... and that's who you decided to marry?" He says and she raises her hand.

"Whatever, Mar."

At the mall, Martin lead them inside, "as the mall's lead custodial engineer, I ensure that all retail establishments come equipped with the StoreSafe 250." He says as he approached the gate on the Gadzooks store. "This is the Cadillac of store gates. Now the 250 prevents hour standard smash-and-grab, graffiti, all while complying with the 70% visibility ordinance. Best part..." He then kneels down, unlocking the gate before he lifted it up.

"Easy to operate."

"And we can rig them for quick release?" Josh asked him. "Little grease, these things go down faster than a Sunnyvale cheerleader." He smiles in a sly manner at Ziggy and Andy, making the shorter woman roll her eyes as the taller simply squinted his eyes at him.

"So, Deena is the target now, so the killers will go after Deena's blood just like they did with Sam. And then we use that to lure them into the stores, and then..." Josh says and Martin brings down the gate, "welcome to the clink, motherfucker." He says and Josh continues.

"The killers will be locked up, then it's us versus Goode." Josh says, smiling faintly. "Okay, sure, awesome, but then what?" Deena asked them. "Like how do we take out Goode?"

i'm hoping this book won't be too short like the other two were because i cut it up to the after '66 part where deena is back in '94

+ i relaly wish i put the parts all in one book but eh, no one said books had to be long lmao so this'll probably also be 10 chapters long (might be less but i'll try my best)
