Angel was in the kitchen of the clubhouse making coffee and pancakes when her brother walked in.

"Morning, sis. Smells good." he told her, pouring himself a cup of coffee.

She looked over her shoulder and smiled at him. "Good morning, bubba. Gracias." She went back to flipping flap jacks as the others filtered in.

"Damn, Mamacita." Tig grinned. "You keep feeding me, I'm gonna have to marry you."

Happy whacked him upside the head, making him hiss. "Shut it, Trager!"

"I was kidding, Hap! Damn!" he said, rubbing his now sore head.

"You two kids play nice!" Angel scolded. "Or there will be no food for either of you." she finished with a threat.

The two best friends scowled at each other, then hung their heads. "Sorry." they grumbled. The rest of the Sons chuckled in amusement at the exchange.

Angel plated the pancakes and set them in front of the child-like men, grabbing hers and Gemma's and they sat beside each other. Gemma had a cheesy grin on her face. She loved Angel even more because of that.

Everyone ate quickly and thanked Angel for breakfast. When Happy and Tig went to leave, she stopped them.

"I don't think so, you two. Get back in here. I want you both to do the dishes and clean up the messes. And if I hear one word out of either of you, I have no problems bending you over my knee. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes ma'am." they answered and got to work.

She went to sit at the bar with Gemma and Clay. "Sorry about that, boss man." she apologized. "I hope I'm not keeping them from anything important."

He shook his hand. "Not at all, Angel. I actually like how you handled them. I gotta admit, for myself and the others, you're kinda scary. Remind me not to piss you off." he smirked.

"Just don't threaten or harm mi Madre and hermano, we'll be fine and dandy." she smirked back.

"Wouldn't dream of it." he promised.

The couple got up and walked out of the clubhouse. Angel remained seated as her phone rang. She saw that it was her mother and she smiled brightly, answering it.

"Hola, Ma."

"Mija! It's so good to hear your voice! Where are you, baby girl?" her mother asked.

"In Charming with bubba. He's currently with Alexander, doing dishes in the kitchen. It's their punishment for acting childish."

She heard her mother's soft laughter. "Oh, mija. When are you going to come see me again? I would love to see you and mi mijo."

"Soon, Ma. I promise. I love you, muchos grande."

"I love you, too, mija." her mother responded and hung up. Ang was still smiling, but she felt a tear roll down her cheek and wiped it away.

"Are you okay, Ang?" she heard Jax ask from behind her. She turned and looked at him and nodded.

"I'm good, Jax. It's just been a while since I've seen Ma. I'm always out doing jobs. Now that I have the chance to see her again, I doubt I could leave her this time."

Jax sighed and went to sit by her and pulled her into his arms. "I'm sorry for what you're going through. I'm sure Hap feels the same every time he goes home to see her. Maybe you should talk to him about it. It might help."

She nodded against his chest, then pulled back and kissed his cheek. "Thanks Jax. You're real sweet."

He winked. "I try, darlin'." She giggled and got up off the stool and went to see the damage in the kitchen, Jax's eyes following the sway of her hips. He closed his eyes and groaned. This woman was stirring feelings in him and he wasn't sure how to go about them.

Angel walked into the kitchen to find her twin and Tig working silently together. They had already cleaned the dining area and were working on the last dish.

As soon as they were finished, they turned around to find her in the walkway. They hung their heads and kept their eyes to the floor.

"Look at me, you two." she commanded in a motherly tone. They slowly raised their heads and looked directly into her eyes. "I appreciate you doing what I asked. Now apologize to each other and you're free to go."

Tig turned towards his best friend. "I'm sorry for what I said to Angel. I was only playing and trying to give a compliment."

Happy nodded his acceptance. "I'm sorry, too, brother. I was being stupid and lashed out for no reason. I know how you are. I guess it was just an instinct since she's my sister. I don't mind the flirting, Tig. That's harmless shit. it was the marriage comment."

Tig nodded. "I know man. I realized that when I said it." They bro hugged each other and walked over to Angel. She pulled them both into a soft brace and kissed their heads.

"Thank you. Now off you go." she dismissed them. They kissed her cheeks and left the kitchen area.

Angel sighed and went outside to one of the picnic tables, took out a pack of smokes and lit one up. She looked around and sighed again. She felt like she belonged here. It felt like home. She just couldn't understand why.

She thought about the Sons. They were all good to her and treated her with respect. There were two Sons in particular that stayed on her mind a lot. She barely knew them, but she felt a connection. She had a hard time understanding what that connection was.

And so, she decided she was going to stick around for a while. First things first, she needed to visit her mother.
