In a heavily wooded area, in the depths of Washington state, was a secluded cabin. Five men sat around on the porch, playing a game of poker. They all wore their best poker faces, completely oblivious to their surroundings.

In a perch, about a half mile into the eastern part of the woods, sat Angel. She had gotten a call for a job the previous morning. One of the men sat at the table, was wanted dead for sexually assaulting a man's teenage daughter.

David Turner was the bastard's name. How anything the good Lord created, could be so sick and twisted, Angel couldn't understand. She may have killed for a living, but she'd never do something so sick to a child. She wouldn't do that to anyone. She may he an assassin, but even she had boundaries. Same as Hap.

Angel sat there, looking through her scope, patiently waiting for the opportunity to take the shot. If need be, she would take his buddies down with him. Collateral damage. Couldn't have any blowback on herself or her families.

After another hour of sitting and waiting, she finally got a straight shot to her target. The man beside him, got out of his seat and stepped inside the cabin. Angel waited a moment, then pulled the trigger.

Turner went down as blood splattered around the card table. The remaining men looked around in alarm, then tried to take cover.

Angel sighed and shook her head. Time to kick things up a couple notches. She grabbed her weapon's bag and climbed out of the tree. She hopped on her dirt bike, pushing it to it's limits, and skidded to a stop in front of the petrified men.

Angel had a mask on, so they or any cameras couldn't see her face. She held up a grenade, pulled the pin and threw it towards the center of the porch. Angel sped away to a safe distance to dodge all the debris.

When the explosion was done, she sped back to check the damage. The men on the porch were now scattered body parts. The fifth man that had been inside, she spotted getting into a car near the back.

She cursed to herself and took off after him. She prayed he didn't have a cell on him, not that he'd get any reception in this area. She pulled out her Python, aimed it at the drivers side window and pulled the trigger.

The car began to slow down as the man's body fell against the steering wheel. Angel kept up with the car, keeping a safe distance in case it wrecked.

She could smell a body of water nearby, a lake, and the car was headed straight for it. Before she could do anything about it, the car dove right into it. Angel hit the brakes on her bike, but it wouldn't stop. She cursed again and tried to jump. The strap of her weapon's bag got caught and the bike crashed into the lake, taking her with it.

At the clubhouse, the Sons and Gemma were sitting around the clubhouse. Some were shooting pool, some were drinking. They were waiting on Angel to finish her job. She had been gone for almost 48 hours. She had told them that she'd be back by dinner the next night before she left.

It was an hour passed time and she still hasn't shown. Happy was packing the floors and cursing anything and everything. He knew his sister always kept to her schedule. Jax and Opie weren't doing any better. They were sat in the far corner, trying to figure out where their Old Lady might be.

Simultaneously, the three men rushed out to their bikes and sped out of the lot. The remaining members following after them. Happy took the lead, having known where Angel had taken the job. They told each other everything and had made a pact to always come searching if something didn't feel right or things went wrong.

Happy arrived at the destination in half the time, frantically searching for his twin. He used his headlights to follow the two different sets of tracks that lead away from the cabin. He was not prepared for the sight before him.

His sister had managed to free herself from the bike that was now at the bottom of the lake. She was lying on the ground, barely breathing. He jumped off his bike and rushed to his sister's side as Jax and Opie dropped to her other side.

"Angel! Come in sis! Don't you fuckin' leave me!" Happy yelled as he began performing CPR. After a couple minutes, she began coughing and spewed up a stream of water. "Oh, thank God!"

"Hap?" She rasped out as she looked at him.

"Yeah, sis. I'm here."

"Hap, I fucked up, hermano. I think I'm getting rusty at this assassin business." She chuckled.

He shook his head. "Nah, sometimes shit just happens. Let's get you you out of here. We'll take care of the rest for you."

"All right, hermano. There's four on the porch, one inside a car in the water. I'm pretty sure he is dead dead. The others are in pieces. Just need to wipe the evidence."

"It'll be handled, Ang. Can you stand?"

Angel held her arms towards her brother and he helped her up. He slowly let her go, but she began to fall. Jax caught her and picked her up.

"Let's get out of here and head home to a shower, babe." He kissed her cheek as he and Opie carried her back to the bikes. Gemma had followed them in her Caddy and was nearby.

"Put Ang in the back. I'll take her home." She told them. They both nodded and did as told.

"Thanks, Ma. We'll be there soon. Take care of our woman."

"Of course. Be safe."

"Always, Ma." He replied and kissed Angel again. "Love you, darlin'. Get some rest."

"I love you, too, Jax. Love you, Ope." She smiled at them.

"I love you, babe." Opie replied and gave a kiss of his own. He shut the door to the Caddy and he and Jax got to work on finishing the job. Gemma left the wooded area and headed back to the clubhouse. Angel fell asleep along the way. She just hoped she didn't lose her job.

Not the best chapter, but hope you all still like it. I'll be ending this book soon. I've come up short on ideas for it.

Sorry that our beloved Angel has hit a tough spot, but it comes with the job. I can promise a happy ending though. Might just take me a while to post more updates.

Much love to all,
Jess
