Summary- Where Chan adopts a cat hybrid ( Felix ) to try and fix his relationship that's practically non existent at this point

Seungmin can't help but be jealous of Chan's boyfriend as well as their hybrid but it's too hard to not love Felix

Changbin frowns , he knew Jake from middle school did he really change so much that he now wants a hybrid along with Chan.  Jake hated hybrids as far as Changbin knew but maybe he had some big character development. 

Seungmin sighed as fiddled with his dessert and quietly watched Chan talk about how he always wanted a hybrid around and his head hurt . He wished he was a hybrid , all these years he had spent loathing himself for liking someone with a boyfriend and now turns out he was open to poly relationships but wants a hybrid . He cursed at himself for wishing Chan could break up with Jake but he didn't feel the amount of guilt he used to before .

Everyone in their friendgroup lowkey disliked Jake but were in good terms with him for Chan except Minho , Minho just outright didn't care since Jake had scared his hybrid Jisung and ofcourse Hyunjin made faces everytime Jake wasn't paying attention also because of how scared his hybrid Changbin seemed to be of him . Chan had decided to place the idea of poly relationships infront of Jake when he saw how well it worked out for Hyunjin , Changbin and Jeongin but the fact that Jake had accepted it readily seemed a bit off but then again Seungmin didn't understand how much of his opinions were honest and not coming from a place of Jealousy. After all Chan must know what he's doing

Right?

Chan was blinded , maybe it was the extreme affection Jake used to provide , maybe it was the need of feeling loved but Chan seemingly never noticed Jake's questionable behavior to the hybrids in their friendgroup , the others didn't understand it properly either they were just certain their hybrids disliked Jake and that was enough of a reason for them to dislike him .

When Chan rolled up to the pet center he sucked in a sharp breath when he saw the way hybrids were kept . It had been decades since hybrids had come out from a failed clone experiment and they surely treated
them as mistakes.

A hybrid in this era wasn't allowed to be free , they were bought and sold like slaves the difference being that generally the public had turned soft to the creatures and usually took care of them like they would care for a pet . Chan wished for more than pet , these hybrids weren't simply animals maybe a part of them were but for the most part they were human and he wanted to love and be loved . It wasn't that Jake wasn't enough,  it wasn't the harsh words that Chan chose to ignore , it wasn't the nights spent on the same bed without physical contact .

Well maybe it was a bit of that Chan craved physical affection , he wanted to feel warm and watching Hyunjin , Changbin and Jeongin just settle up in a cuddle pile , his jealousy rose . It was no secret that Hyunjin and Jeongin had fights over everything before Changbin entered the scene , Changbin was their mediator,  he was what they needed to stay together like a missing piece of their own relationship. 

Chan hoped the Hybrid he'd bring home could be his and Jake's mediator too , he didn't someone to stop fights as they barely had any he just needed someone who could possibly get Jake to be as affectionate as he was before.
