~ Evie's POV~
I noticed my mirror was not in my jacket with the game over like it had been a few hours before. I found myself booking it from the tourney across the campus and finally over to the chemistry lab.

Mr. Delay was already there with Chad when I arrived. "Looking for something?" He asked, waving the mirror from his desk." Thank you, Chad. It's gratifying to see that someone still respects the honor code. It'll be my recommendation that you be expelled."

"Mr. Delay, I.." I started but was interrupted by Doug.

"But that isn't fair! Obviously, she wasn't cheating since she didn't have that.. whatever that thing is." Doug muttered.

"It's called a magic mirror.." I answered.

Doug closed my lips." You aren't helping. Stop. Maybe she needed another pencil."

"Actually, I was.." I started again then stopped.

"Really, don't help. Please." Doug exclaimed.

Mr. Delay sighed. "Well, if you can pass this test, I'll return your property and let the matter drop."

Mr. Delay shoved Chad and Doug out of the classroom and threw the test down in front of me.
I chipped away, finishing it within 20 minutes of arriving. "Miss Queen." I ran to his desk, grabbing the test from off the stack of papers, as he began shuffling through his drawers for my mirror. He handed it to me." OMG! Mr. Delay, thank you!"

"Yeah. Yeah. Don't let me see that in my classroom again, got it, Miss Queen?"

"Don't worry, sir. It won't happen again, I promise. Thank you so much!" I nodded and raced out to find my chemistry buddy Doug, who sat outside the picnic area. "For the first time, I feel like more than just a pretty face."

"Shocker, huh?" Doug asked jokingly.

"You were pretty great in there," I said, throwing the paper down beside him.

"So were you," Doug said back.

"I bet I could get an A on the next test without the mirror," I added, more confident than I had been in a very long time.

"Yeah, maybe we can get together, and we'll hang out," Doug suggested.

"Yeah! That would rock!" I agreed.

"EVIE!" I flipped my head, and Millie was there. "There you are! I have been looking for you everywhere!"

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Ben. He just asked me out on a.. a date." Millie exclaimed.

"Nice." Doug threw in.

"We can handle this. I'll see you later, yeah?" Doug nodded, and Millie and I filed off to the dorm.

~ Millie's POV~
"Okay. Take it easy with the blush. I don't want to scare him away. Not that I could." I muttered as Evie began throwing makeup onto my face.

Evie laughed. "Please. Mom taught me to apply blush before I could talk. Always use upper ward strokes."

I sighed. "Well, my mom was never big on giving Mal or me makeup tips. We've never had an older sister before."

"Well, now you do. We'll need all the family we can get if we don't pull this thing off. My mother's not a barrel of laughs when she doesn't get her way. Just ask Snow White." Evie said.

"Are you afraid of her?" I asked.

Evie nodded, sighing heavily. "Sometimes. Are you afraid of your mom?"
