In the morning Mo woke up early, a habit you can't help if you have a dog. The occupants on his bed were still sound asleep, He Tian was out cold his pain medication must have wiped him out. He was lying on his front, muscled shoulders peeked out of the sheet, one arm flung around Jun who must have sneaked up during the night.
"Hey psst come here!" Mo hissed this in a low voice.
Jun's head lifted up, he looked at Mo for a second and then lay back down.
"Jun!" Mo wiggled his fingers. "Do you want to go out?"
Jun obviously decided it was time to get up because he stood, did a huge stretch yawning widely. The his tail started wagging and he jumped down onto the floor.
"Come on, we can go for a quick walk, then get breakfast, he might be awake by the time we get back." Mo clipped on Jun's leader and looked down at the dog. "And don't think I won't talk to you about jumping up on the bed."
Jun just woofed at Mo.
"SShhhh! Lets go."
Shan and Jun walked their usual route, Jun did his business and on the way back Mo bought congee, fruit, fresh bread and strawberry jam. Back at his apartment he opened the door quietly, unclipping Jun he went to feed the hungry Labrador. Breakfast was one of Jun's favourite meals.
Once this was done Shan crept over to his bedroom door and peeked inside, He Tian was still sleeping soundly and damn if he didn't look good lying there like he belonged. A slow smile appeared on Mo Guan Shan's face. This was his man and he was going to do anything in his power to protect him, the stark white bandage visible under Tian's black hair was a reminder that life was too short. He hoped that in the future they would communicate better, talk things over together.
Shan blushed because he could totally see himself with He Tian when they were older, more attractive dudes arguing over who had to walk the dog. His future happiness now lay in the hands of a gangster, no correction an ex-gangster and Mo, instead of being frightened of what lay ahead for them, he was now excited.
He remembered He Tian saying that he loved Mo, but that was when he was injured, when he was desperate, did he really mean it? Wasn't it a bit too early to say that they loved each other? Mo had no clue, all he knew was he was falling hard for the dude in his bed and the thought of not seeing He Tian again was just painful. He would analyse the whole 'love you' thing at a later date.
Suddenly he remember his new pens and LED sketching pad! Walking over to the table he grabbed them and went to sit at his drawing table near the window, he pulled the stool in pulled the LED pad from its box oohing and aahing over how cool it was, he set it down on the angled table. Like some kind of pervert he stroked his new pens lovingly, wow they were so pretty he couldn't wait to try them out!
In his head he immediately started thinking of Tian's tattoo. On the right hand side of He Tian's back piece there was a large coiled dragon, he wanted to redraw it, change it slightly so the beast will now hold in its claw an unrolled traditional scroll, trailing out a message "Honour." and then He Tian's father's name. It would be easy to find he could google it. Google could find anything.
Cracking his fingers he selected a pen, hunched over the piece of large tracing paper and started to sketch out the dragons face. That was Shan in his happy place, just switching off his physical surroundings and immerse himself in drawing the best fucking dragon every to grace an ex-gangster's back.
An hour must have went by and Mo's stomach gave a loud growl, fuck he was hungry, he shuffled over to the kitchen and quickly demolished a banana, satsuma and then he toasted some thick bread, once it was done he spread jam over it and crunched a huge bite out of it.
