I immediately shut up because my grin was already turning up volume and I tried to hide the smile.

"Like? "

He leans backward and faced me with a smirk on his face.

Well, that got me curious. What was he thinking about my grin? Or what I was thinking he was thinking when he said he needed help from me to study?

He shot up a brow next and shook his head.

"I didn't expect you'd start grinning or at most blushing like you are now!"

That was total embarrassment in my own way.

And a part of me wanted to just go right there in front of him and strangle him but another part refrained me, I wouldn't want to land in jail.

Then, I focused on his eyes again and I was searching absolutely nothing.

But his smirking face annoyed me and infuriated me more!

"Look, I'm ignoring that your stupid statement because I'm generous enough and more mature so, cut it off! " I yelled finally taking charge of myself.

I didn't bother checking what expression he held next but I didn't believe what I did next.

I looked around and found a seat next to him. I just dumbly went to sit on the chair and faced him. He was having this kind of confused gaze on me.

This was what I was feeling earlier when you were being an asshole. Serves you right!

Following this, I leaned into his locker to see what he was reading. All what was staring at me was a book.

Not a book anyway.

"What the hell is this!"

He was surprised obviously at my yelling. I didn't give a chance to speak and I just took the book up and flicked through the pages.

Glaring up at him, I lament " This book is as good as a dead carcass cause there's literally anything in this, Xavier Curt!- Oops"

I blinked twice suddenly stopping

I just called his full name. I never even really called his name but I'm surprised I said his full name now.

His look held nothing friendly and I realised I touched the wrong nerve. I don't even know when he's angry or happy anymore.

It seems he is angry always now!

"Sorry" I said dropping the book.

"Well, that's fine. I never really wrote notes and besides I don't attend class often so I lack a good note. These are the few I scrap out" he muttered taking me unaware.

What I expected least was him telling me this. Was I a good girl after all?

***
Good grief? Is it?

"Wait, I expected you to flare up"

He doesn't reply. We just sunk into an unexpected silence.

He then turned at me,  looking at me as if realising something.

"You aren't going home?"

My eyes shot open and I unconsciously shot a look at my watch.

"What! 30 minutes past three. I just spent 2 hours extra here. Damn,  my bus"

I realised I was not alone do I stopped blabbering. Why do I keep blabbering. As if that was not enough embarrassment , my stomach started to rumble.

"I guess my detention is just an hour away. You should get going, you might be hungry"

"Yes.... " I mumbled but then,  I remembered my motive of starting this conversation.

I wanted to know more! More about Xavier Curt's life! Why he would get into a fight with anyone, especially Richard!

"I'm, " I cleared my throat.

"You should get going or you'll be late"

I frowned and rolled my eyes before standing up. He's started to push me away again.

"Alright I'll love to help you with your work though. Or you don't mind taking my note?" I hesitated glancing at his face.

"Well.... " he looked away and I saw his eyes darting around as if thinking about it.

"If you don't want,  I'll leave bye"
I headed for the door fumbling with my bag's strap and walking slowly.

"Okay, " he said and I immmedialy  turned back.

"You will?.... I mean,  take my note" I stood hands akimbo and bending to my right side with a smile on my face.

"Yes,  since you're insisting"

He was trying to smile but the smile looked really fake and so I giggled.

"You smile like this" I brought my index and thumb at both corners of my lips folding my other fingers in the process and raised up both corners of my lip. :)

He nodded and rolled his eyes.

He was really cute. I couldn't help showing the blush.
