Part 8: Triumphs and Trials of a New Relationship

Morning came around and both boys were dreaming about what their future would be like. "Mr. Ricky Bowen-Caswell" Ricky thought to himself, "Nah, that seems too formal." "Mr. EJ Caswell-Bowen" EJ was dreaming about, "Eh, nah. It doesn't flow". Both boys sound asleep wrapped in each other's arm, when they were suddenly woken up by a furious knock on EJ's bedroom dorm.

*knock* *knock*

"EJ! Open up!! You are going to miss snorkeling!" Ashlynn said, screaming through the door.

Ricky was woken up first by the loud noise and checked his phone to see what time it was. It was 11am.

"OH MY GOD!, EJ WAKE UP!!" Ricky was shaking the older boy awake.

"Huh? What time is it?" EJ said while yawning.

"It's 11am! We missed breakfast and now we are going to miss snorkeling"

"Snorkeling? Eh, I have done it before. I don't mind missing it, if that means I can stay here with you."

"Well, I have never been, so I really want to go! Plus your cousin is at the door!" Ricky said while trying to find his clothes to get ready.

"Cousin?"

"EJ CASWELL! OPEN THIS DOOR! RIGHT NOW I KNOW YOU ARE IN THERE! DON'T MAKE ME SAY YOUR FULL NAME" Ashlynn said while pounding on the door.

"OH MY GOD! IT'S ASHLYN!! HURRY! Find your clothes!" EJ said in a frantic but quiet manner to Ricky. He wasn't embarrassed by Ricky or the situation, he just didn't want Ashylnn to find out about them this way. He wanted to tell her first, privately, so she knows not to run and tell everyone else. But if she saw them like this, it would be too juicy of a story to pass up and not tell everyone. So he had to find their clothes quick.

"Uh hold on Ash! I'm coming!" EJ said in a panic

"Oooo now I kind of want to wait and see if Ashlynn will say your full name. By the way, what is your full name, EJ?" Ricky said with a smirk on his face hoping to push the older boy's buttons a little.

"Please, you wish Bowen, not in a million years! And you won't hear it from Ashlynn either cause you are going to get ready!" EJ said jokingly to Ricky.

"Hmmmm, I wonder what it could be? Elijah James? Ettiny Jimonthy? Elton John? Eli Jacob? Elliot Jasper?" Ricky was coming up with all sorts of names in his head, before he was hit in the face with a flying shirt being thrown at him.

"Hurry, put it on!" EJ broke Ricky out of his trance and was opening the door for Ashlynn.

"Morning Ash!" EJ said while trying not to freak out by his messy room and Ricky casually putting his shirt on in the corner.

"More like good afternoon, Eej" Ashlynn said giggling. "And oh, hi to you Ricky". Of course Ashlynn would see Ricky. EJ's face started to turn red and Ashlynn gave him a wink and a nod as in "we are definitely going to talk about this later" kind of look.

"I'll see you two by the lake in a few" Ash said while running away as she was trying to find Gina to tell her what she saw.

"See, there was nothing to it. We are all good. Meet you by the lake in 10!" Ricky said to EJ while giving him a kiss on the check, running to his room to get change for the water activity.

Ej's hand was on his cheek where the skater boy kissed him. He was holding his cheek now, never wanting to let go. God, this boy will be the death of him.
