Part 6: We Have To Intervene!

" Awww, y'all are so cute together!" Natalie Baggley said to Carlos and Seb as they were done dueting You are the Music in Me.

"Thanks!, I know we are!" Carlos said smiling while hugging Seb.

The group had stopped singing within the mess hall and everyone was leaving, heading towards their next activity or workshop. Aslynn and Gina were the first ones out the door, cause they wanted to be the first to grab "the" good kayak at the beach.

As soon as they stepped outside though, they both saw Ricky crying, running towards the cabins. They traced his steps back to see where he was coming from and saw that it led back to the beach.

On the beach, they saw a whimpering EJ with his head in his knees, crying and sniffling. Gina and Ashlynn knew something was up and they had to act fast. Seeing their best friend and cousin both crying? They knew something was up between the two and had to intervene fast!

"Oh my god, what do you think happened between them?" Ashylnn asked Gina with a concerned look.

"I have no idea, but we have to find out. Let's split up and talk to each of them. You will take EJ and I'll take Ricky, then we will meet up in an hour and discuss what happened and see if there is anything we can do for them!" Gina instructed Ashlynn.

"Good idea! Text me if anything goes wrong! Meet back in our room in an hour, got it? Good luck!" Ashlynn says while walking towards EJ at the beach.

"Good luck to you too!" Gina said while running towards Ricky to try and catch up with him.

" EJ, are you okay?" Ashlynn said while approaching EJ at the beach. She noticed he had his face in his hands, knees to his chest, and was crying.

"Leave me alone Ash" EJ said sternly, tears still streaming down his face.

"Cmon EJ, you have to talk to me"

"NO! I don't have to if I don't want too"

"Fine, then I am not leaving until you talk to me"

Ashlynn sat down next to EJ. They were quiet for a few moments then Ashlynn reached over and started to hug EJ. He then just started to cry, letting it all out. He finally stopped and was able to catch his breath and speak.

"It's Ricky" EJ finally said in a sad tone

Ashlynn knew it was about Ricky already, she had put two and two together, but she wanted to hear it from her cousin. What she really wanted to know though, is why did the younger boy make her older cousin cry so much?

"What about him?" Ashlynn asked EJ while still hugging him.

"He, uh-, he, he kissed me" EJ said finally looking up to see Ashlynn's reaction

"Oh, oh okay, wow"

Ashlynn was shocked! Not at the fact that EJ and Ricky kissed (she knew it was bound to happen at some point), but the fact that Ricky kissed EJ. She always thought EJ would be the one to take the first step between them. I mean he is a Caswell, we are pretty fearless.

"Why are you crying then? Didn't you want that?"

"Ho-, how did you know that I wanted that?" EJ asked her with a confused look on his face.

"Eej, cmon. It's SO obvious!"

"It is?"

"YEAH!, you haven't stopped looking at him with this puppy dog gaze in your eyes since we did HSM. Even when you were playing Gaston and you were supposed to hate his character, you were still saying every line to him with a smile." Ashlynn said, giggling.
