Part 10: Last Day of Camp

Morning came and EJ and Ricky woke up as the sun was rising, they wanted to actually make it to breakfast on time.

"Morning love" EJ said to Ricky, who was barely awake.

"Morning sweetie" Ricky didn't know where that pet name came from, but it just slipped out and he went with it.

"You know, I can get used to this name calling thing" EJ said with a smirk before giving Ricky a kiss on his forehead.

"Cmon, we're gonna be late for breakfast.," Ricky said, giving EJ a slight push.

As the two boys were getting ready and started to head to the mess hall, EJ asked RIcky if they still wanted to tell their friends about their relationship.

"Of course, I want to tell them. Especially now that you are going to be back at East High in the fall. It would look a little awkward if they saw us kissing and didn't know why." Ricky said, hitting EJ in the ribs.

"Yeah, okay, you're right. Tonight then, at the bonfire.

Since it was the last full day of camp before everyone leaves tomorrow, it was a free day. Usually RIcky and EJ would be running off together to go make out in some supply closet or in EJ's room, but they decided they want to spend their last day of camp with their friends.

Everything was going smoothly, until they almost kissed in front of Seb. Luckily, Seb didn't see them, but now they had to be extra careful not to be a couple in front of everyone until tonight.

The bonfire finally rolled around later that night and everyone was having a great time. EJ was first hanging out with the other counselors, but couldn't really enjoy it. He was starting to get nervous thinking about how he was going to tell everyone about him and Ricky, but he saw how happy the curly haired boy was at the East High bonfire and knew everything would be okay.

After an hour or so of hanging out with the counselors, EJ made his way to the East High bonfire.

"Come, sit down with us Eej" Ashlynn said to her cousin.

"This seat taken?" EJ said pointing to the empty seat next to Ricky who was sitting next to Big Red.

"Uhm- no, all yours" Ricky said nervously, trying not to be too obvious.

"Thanks!" EJ sat down next to Ricky and started to gently rub the skater boy's thigh in secret. Ricky started to close his eyes and squealed a little to the touch, when Miss Jenn appeared startling the two boys..

"Hi Wildcats! Oh good, EJ you're here. Just in time for my announcement" Miss Jenn said while standing next to Mr. Mazzara.

"Few announcements everyone. I have narrowed down our choices from this year's musical" All of the kids instantly became quiet, hoping to hear their favorite musical be called. "It's going to be between: The Little Mermaid, Into the Woods, and the Greatest Showman."

Everyone started to instantly cheer and talk about which one they wanted to do. "Settle down Wildcats! We will take a vote on the bus tomorrow on our way home so think about which one you want to vote for. It will be anonymous and you only get one vote, so choose wisely. Secondly" Miss Jenn turned to look at EJ. "I have asked EJ to come back and help us with the musicals next year. He will be my AD, Assistant Director."

Mr. Mazzara started to say something as well, "EJ would also be helping me in the AV club and with the morning announcements." Everyone started to cheer and congratulate EJ on coming back to the show.

"Eej, you didn't tell us about this!" Gina said, elbowing him in the shoulder.

"Well it was last minute. Miss Jenn and Mr. Mazzara brought it up to me yesterday and I said yes! I can't wait, we're all going to have so much fun" EJ said to the group.
