Chapter 12: Date

It was the next day and I woke up to see a uniform and a note on top of it. It read:

Here's your uniform! Wear this for our date! ♥~ I guess she wants to see me in uniform. So I put on the uniform and it was a little baggy, but I'll grow into it by age. Then I put on my haori then I put my Ninjato to my side. I look at myself and I have to say I look damn fine. Then I put my hair into a high ponytail and I walked out to get some breakfast. I see Shinobu cooking some food.

"Hey Shinobu, where is Kanae?"

She looked at me and her mouth was wide open.

"Um.. Shinobu, are you okay?"

"..."

"Earth to Shinobu!"

"Oh what!"

She had a flustered look on her face.

"Why were you just staring at me like that?"

"It's the first time I've ever seen you look so noble"

"Oh.. Thanks.. Wait, what did I look like before?"

"A bum"

"... Wow that hurts a little"

"Haha~"

She gives a cheeky laugh and smile.

"Well anyways, where is Kanae?"

"She is getting ready for something. She's been up since six."

"Is that so? Do you want me to help you with the cooking?"

"Nope!"

"Is my cooking that bad?"

"Yes!"

I couldn't help but cry after hearing that, I think she felt sorry because she started to pour me some tea and pat my back. After a little while she finished and laid the food on the table. We sat there waiting for Kanae and for about 5 minutes she showed up, in her normal uniform.

"What took you so long Kanae?"

She looks at me and smiles at me.

"You look so handsome in the Demon Slayer uniform"

I couldn't help, but blush a little from what she said.

"..T-thank you and you look nice as well"

Wow, really she is in the same uniform for most of the time I see her. Look nice, god dang it calm down idiot. I looked over to her and she had a red tint on her face. We stared at each other until Shinobu let out a loud cough.

"Our food is getting cold"

"Oh, sorry Shinobu"

I apologized and Kanae came over and sat down to eat. After that Shinobu went to further her poisons and medical studies. Kanae and I went out into the town shopping around. Our first stop was clothes, because I don't have enough clothes. So, I have to try on clothes with Kanae choosing all of them. Kanae comes running over with a pile of clothes.

"Alright try these"

"Um.. are you sure-"

"Try them on"

"O-okay"

I grabbed the top and it was a simple black kimono. I put it on and stepped out to see Kanae's reaction.

"You look great in black!"

I looked around and saw other women looking in awe.

"So keep the pile?"
