Chapter 3: Plus Two
-
Kim Hanbin's POV
We finished recording our routine to 'Get Like Me' as our weekly assessment. We received a message from YG telling us that he wants to see our team today. The boys and I started getting ready to leave, when we saw Raeya and Yunhee enter the practice room.
"Oh, you came?" Donghyuk said.
"Yes, we're here!" Raeya answered cheerfully. "Why, are you guys going somewhere?"
"It's only 2 PM," Yunhee stated. "You're already done?"
"Mr. Yang called us today," I answered. "He said he has something important to tell us."
"I have a feeling it's about our debut," Yunhyeong said while changing his shirt in front of all of us like it's a normal thing. Well, it's normal, but Yunhee and Raeya are here. "But I'm not sure If that's a good thing, and if I'm excited..." He continued. I saw Raeya stare.
"Me too. Remember when WIN started?" Jinhwan said.
"Oh, I got so jumpy when he asked us when we wanted to debut." Bobby stated. "But then he said he'd remove some of us or regroup us if we lose WIN." Yunhee placed a comforting hand above her brother's shoulder.
"My uncle didn't mention this to me." Raeya told us. "I'm sorry guys," She apologized.
"That's okay! It's not like you're obliged to tell us everything your uncle tells you," Junhoe comforted her. "Seeing you here makes me feel extra better and less nervous." He chuckled nervously, "I mean, all of us. Right guys?"
I coughed. Junhoe's not like this to people. Looks like Raeya caught his attention.
Raeya looked at me and smiled. "Well if you guys need to go, I guess Yunhee and I will have the rest of the day to ourselves. Where do you want to go, Hee?"
"I'm not sure, but I guess I'll be buying tutor stuff for these boys," she said.
"Let's go then! We'll get going guys, good luck for today!" Raeya waved. Yunhee quickly hugged Bobby before following Rae Ya. I can't help but envy Jiwon because he has the chance to be with her sister. It makes me miss Hanbyul as well.
They were already halfway out when I said, "Bye."
Raeya looked back and smiled sweetly. "Bye, Hanbin." Then they left.
I stood there, dumbfounded. I didn't know my name could sound so... ambrosial. How could she have this effect on me?
"Woah, what was that?" Yunhyeong teased. "Was I the only one who saw the connection there, huh?"
"Shut up, Yunhyeong," I snapped.
"Looks like our leader has a crush," Jinhwan giggled like a teenager.
"I don't have a crush!" I rolled my eyes.
"And I'm taller than all of you!" Jinhwan laughed harder. I glared at him. "Fine I'll stop," He snickered.
"We should go, what if Mr. Yang arrives before we do?" Junhoe interrupted. "We'll be dead meat."
"Let's go!" Donghyuk roared happily, trying to cheer us up despite our nervousness.
We went down and into the car. No one said a word, but I know each of us is silently praying for good news later. After a few minutes, we arrived at the building. We hastily made our way in, only to see an abundant number of cameras and cameramen. The last time we saw something like this was when Mr. Yang announced WIN.
