Two weeks later. It was a Saturday, a rainy Saturday. I was just playing on my iPod when Ada shouted,

"FAITH! Come here NOW!" I jumped up and ran to my sister's room. She was looking at her laptop. The website was gmail.com. What email was so important that she needed to show me? "Look," she said, pointing to the email. It read:

Dear Ada,

We're happy to report that you're our grand prize winner! You have won a date with Niall Horan of One Direction! Please be at O'Toole's Restaurant at 16-06 East Carver Street in Dublin, Ireland Saturday, January 19. Don't worry about bringing money. Please arrive my 12:00 am. Email back to verify if you are coming. If you do not email back in two days, we will give the opportunity to someone else. Niall will be happy to meet you!

"I'm going to meet Niall Horan!" Ada squealed. I felt my eyes filling up with tears.

"Why did you enter this contest? One Direction is MY favorite band!"

"Well, I was bored so I entered the contest. I didn't think I would win, though!" She grinned and the tears spilled down my cheeks.

"I love Niall and you don't! I've been dying to meet ever since I heard him audition on The X Factor! You know nothing about One Direction! This was my only chance to meet the love of my life and YOU RUINED IT!" I snapped, the words coming out all at once.

"Calm down, Faith," Ada started.

"NO! I WILL NOT CALM DOWN!"

"You're seventeen years old! Too old to be having a meltdown!"

"You don't understand, Ada," I said, wiping tears from my cheeks. "Niall will probably fall for you. All guys do. I always had a dream that I'd meet him and he'd like me. It's stupid I know. It was all I had...just a dream...and now it's gone."

"You'll have other boyfriends," she said.

"I'm seventeen and I've been single all my life! I don't even have any friends!"

"That's your problem," she retorted.

"I hate you!" I screamed and ran out of the room. When I got to my own room I saw my favorite One Direction poster hanging on the wall. I pulled it down, which was kind of hard because it was framed. I took all my posters down and pushed them in a corner of the room. I did the same with my 1D pillow and blanket, all my 1D clothing, my dolls and figurines, everything having to do with One Direction. Even my iPod because it was loaded with 1D music. I still loved the band, but what was the point? Now that Ada won the date with Niall, my dreams were crushed. My room was almost empty without my One Direction stuff. It was all in the corner of the room. I didn't know when I'd collect it all...maybe never, I thought. It'll just be there forever.

"Ada! Faith! Come here now!" I scrambled to the living room where my mother was sitting on the sofa.

"What is it, Ma?" I asked.

"My work has required me to go to America next week. Your father is coming too. I trust that you two will be fine on your own?"

"Of course, Ma," said Ada. "We're trustworthy."

"We'll be leaving on Monday and coming back the next Monday. And, oh, another thing - I want you two together at all times. Never apart. Ok?"

"Wait Ma!" Cried Ada. "My date is next Saturday!"

"Date with who?" Asked my father.

"Niall Horan!" She said. My parents were well acquainted with Niall because of my obsession with One Direction.

"Niall Horan?" Laughed my father. "Is this a joke?"

"It's not a joke!" Said Ada. She ran into her room, grabbed the laptop, and showed it to my parents.

"But I thought One Direction was Faith's thing," said my mother.

"It is," said Ada. "But he's still cute."

"Faith will have to come with you on your date," said my father.

"But-" Ada protested.

"No buts," he said firmly. "She's coming."
