Hey reader! I used to advertise a story here called His Escape that was so so so much better than this one. Like miles better.

Someone likely reported that story for a line out of context. The protagonist got raped, and in a case of victim blindness she was said that she "liked" what happened to her. Later in the story she goes back on that statement and actively calls the situation rape, but that was unknown without context. Glorification of sexual violence is against the Wattpad content guidelines, so it was deleted.

Not unpublished.

There were about 52 chapters. It was 180k+ words.

I spent a year and a half of my life writing that story.

I've always considered Wattpad a safe place to store my writing. If my phone were to be lost, I wouldn't be able to retrieve what was in my notes app I'm pretty sure, but Wattpad is always an account I could log into from any device.

That said, I did not have any of the story kept elsewhere. Yes, this is my mistake for not having a real backup.

A project I spent a year and a half of my life on is actually gone. I'm so utterly devastated by this. The impact hasn't even kicked all the way in yet to be honest, but my god I haven't been this crushed in a long time.

Wattpad does not do appeals, they state their decision is final and they do not do transfers of deleted content (sending me a copy of my deleted story for personal keeping). They also do not give a notice your story will be deleted. I think this is an entirely scummy way to run a platform. Yes I see utilization in not giving the content of actually rule breaking stories back to the owner, but this system cannot be a one size fits all scenario. I know a content moderator did not read my entire story before making that damn decision.

I have not gotten into contact with any Wattpad support that isn't a fucking bot. I know how to for bug tickets, but if I email there I will probably not get a response.

I'll keep looking for a way to have it restored, but I'm not hopeful in the slightest. My fear is that the reason behind not doing transfers of content is due to the fact they delete it from their databases entirely.

I'll be rewriting the story because I was so extremely proud of it. I would do anything to have made Obsession the one that was deleted in its place. Everything is fresh enough for me to redo it, and on the very very small brightside: I can write it better this time around.

However, I do not plan on uploading it here. Not yet. How can I after this happened? I barely want to support wattpad let alone upload here. I'll have to do a lot of thinking on whether or not I would like to return to uploading here. Unfortunately there is not other platform like wattpad popular enough to share my work (A03 is really just for fanfics).

A very short description of it is: Valeria Osorio is the daughter of the biggest Mexican Cartel's boss. She is taken by the FBI, falls in love with an agent, and she internally dismantles the Cartel to provide a better life for everyone involved. It reads like a mafia story (like obsession!!!)

I have no idea if re-uploaded, deleted content is even allowed (I'm sure this would be because IT ALL HAS TO BE REWRITTEN), but if enough of you comment saying you're interested by the time I'm done writing it all again, I might consider uploading it. I may just drop my Twitter and link it there or something idk.

Thank you everyone for the support up until here. I'll leave my other stories up because I don't see a need to take them down. I may publish the second half of The Flower Longed Death simply because I already have the first up, but that isn't certain. Please give that story a chance because it was the closest in writing quality to His Escape. It is better honestly, however, if you're not into fantasy, I get it.

I have two other stories (three counting what was mentioned above this) in the works that I would've love to let see the light of day on here. Who knows, maybe I can get them truly published someday :,)

If anyone knows a way to even begin resolving this, please let me know. If anyone from Wattpad is for some reason reading: HELP.

Now onto the introduction of this lame story if you are going to read it.

Feel free to skip to the next part, but Hello! This is the first story I've uploaded to Wattpad. Please be careful going through. Triggers include guns, kidnapping, sexual assault, blood, death, gang violence, and other related ones.

There is extremely graphic sexual content in here, along with a lot of swearing. So if you are uncomfortable with that you should probably skip this story.

I write stories in my notes app as a pass-time, but my avid Wattpad reading friends told me to upload this.

I will say that over the course of writing it I got a hell of a lot more talented. If it feels a little cringe in one chapter, it will get gradually less cringe until the end.

The official word count is about 110,000, and each chapter isn't longer than 4,000. Also expect for there to be typos because I don't have enough time to proofread.

Translations for the dialogue not in English can be found under it in italics. Apologies if it isn't correct, but blame google translate not me. There are also outfits at the bottom of a couple chapters. There is a (warning like this) when there is a reference to look at.

For anyone here strictly for smut, that won't be for a few chapters. I hope you will still read the story to get to it though.
