The bell had just rung and the school hallways were in chaos. Luke had physics next, meaning he had to walk from one end of the hall to the other.
'I should've left earlier.' He thought to himself as he entered the sea of people. His head high above many of the others. Before he had accidentally stepped on someone's foot.
"Ow" He heard them say.
"Sorry." He said with slight shame before looking down to see who it was.
It was that girl from earlier today.
Their eyes made contact with each other's as everyone scuffled around one another trying to make it to their class on time.
She rolled her eyes in annoyance and shook her head before mumbling something under her breath.
'Oh well, at least I apologized.' He thought before pushing his way through the crowd even more.
-
"Stupid idiot." Y/n mumbled under their breath as they pulled Corey's smaller frame behind them through the crowd to make it to their next class on time.
"What was that?" Corey asked confused once the wave of people scattered about.
"Nah just that boy from another class that I have." Y/n said annoyed.
"Luke?"
"Yeah."
"Oh, don't you think he's cute though?"
"Ew what? No way." Y/n said in disgust. "There's no way I could ever find someone so disruptive and rude attractive." She continued. "Let's just get to class hm?"
"Yeah, that's a better idea than worrying about boys." Corey said following close behind Y/n.
-
'Shit, she was wearing those white converse.' He thought to himself as he walked into class and taking a seat.
'What if she actually hates me now.'
'Why am I caring about what she thinks?'
'Luke wake up, you just saw her today for the first time.'
'Don't get too ahead of yourself.'
-
The two girls had taken a seat at one of the double desks in the second row, the edge of the desk engraved with some initials that made Y/n laugh. Just the thought of them engraved their name in the desk, all for the relationship to only last at the maximum of a month.
Looking around the room Y/n noticed that Luke's friend was in that class, talking to some of the girls in the back row.
Rolling her eyes as she looked away.
"Damn who got you pissed now?" Corey asked seeing Y/n's whole demeanor change.
"Just- Nah don't worry about it." Y/n said brushing it off. "It wasn't that big of a deal anyway.
"Alright." Corey said accepting her new, found friend's decision.
Those words being the last of the conversation before the class had started.
-
I stared ahead of me as some of my friends and I started to quiet down after hearing the second bell ring.
That's when these two girls near the from caught my eye.
Corey.
I had always liked her because she was much more of the quiet type, compared to the normal people I talked to.
I remember the first time I had talked to her, I had to work with her on a small project once, and she was such a great partner that made me actually want to help. She's part of the smarter group of people at this school, which means that not a lot of my friends know her which might be the reason why I've been avoiding her since then? I really should get to know her better though.
But now instead of sitting alone, she sits with that new girl that Luke talked to.
She's quite the wild card, or at least I'd say. She could be anything. The popular kid, the quiet type, the e-girl, the athletic one, the smart one.
And maybe I could use her as a bridge to get to Corey.
