The sounds of quiet chatter around them filled in the silence that sat within Nick as he waited for Corey and Y/n.

Looking around, he realized that the mall had gotten new furniture and remodeled?

He didn't really know at this point, it had been so long since he had come to the mall. As Clay would say "can't stop the minecraft grind.", but in all seriousness he wished that they had just showed up already and get this show on the road.

But just as he thought that, Luke had caught them and motioned for them to come by us. Giving Nick a small nudge against his leg to tell him that they were here.

Looking over, it almost seemed as if it were a movie.

The way that Corey smiled brightly, her round framed glasses bouncing the hard fluorescent lights away from her face. Her light brown hair, that seemed to have been curled bouncing as she walked. All of these small details make him smile.

"Sorry we're late." Y/n said, sounding slightly out of breath.

"Not a problem, we just got here." Luke said as he stretched both his body and the truth.

"Oh, perfect. We'll get our tickets and meet you inside?" Y/n asked, looking at Corey and Luke simultaneously before the two nodded. "Alright cool."

"Are you ready?" Y/n asked Corey as the two walked from the concession counter to their theater.

"I guess?" She replied nervously.

"Don't worry, I'll be here." Y/n said reassuring her friend with a nod before they entered. The two scanning the upper rows of the theater for their friends.

Sure enough, they were able to see Nick sitting in the fourth row from the top and Luke sitting in the second row from the top.

"Oh, I thought we were sitting together..." Corey chuckled nervously.

"Don't worry girl, you got this."

"Okay-" She started before Nick waved her down and motioned for her to go and sit by him.

"Just be yourself okay Corey?"

"Okay, thanks Y/n." She said, those being the last words exchanged before the movie was done.

"Hi Corey!" Nick said with excitement and nervousness, his palms slightly sweaty. This was one of the dates of many that he went on that actually meant something to him.

"Hey Nick!" Corey had said matching his energy with a smile.

"You look so pretty." He said genuinely, a light blush starting to form on his face but luckily the orange colored lights were dim enough that she couldn't see.

"Thanks." She said, before the lights started to become more and more dim until it was almost dark.

"Hey." Luke whispered, as Y/n sat down. Not wanting to talk too loud before Corey and Nick hear him.

"What's up." Y/n whispered back, not even bothering to look at him before sitting down in the seat next to him.

"How did everything go earlier today?"

"Pretty smooth I'd say. Although she's really nervous, she told me this was her first date." Y/n said still whispering as she got herself settled in.

Luke only hummed in response before noticing that the two in front of him started talking. Y/n turned her phone on dnd before starting on her snacks, until Luke had nudged her leg.

"Look." He had said, tilting his head in their direction, it was clear that the two were smiling. But after Y/n had taken just a glimpse of Luke's face, it was hard to deny that be didn't not look good.

He wore a simple white Nike hoodie, brown cargo pants, and white air force one's. But it seemed as if he actually tried to dress himself for tonight.

He had put on some sort of cologne and it looked as if he had brushed his hair, and shaved.

'Wow, not bad if he had to be my date for tonight.' Y/n thought with a shrug before noticing that the lights were going down, gesturing to everyone that the movie was going to start soon.

'Damn this popcorn is bomb as hell.' Y/n thought to herself as she ate some, watching the movie intently when she went to grab her drink. That was when she felt his hand on the cushioned armrest that separated the two.

"Sorry." The two said quickly at the same time, Luke moving his arm as Y/n went to grab her drink. Her face feeling hot, luckily it was dark enough that he couldn't see her flushed expression.

'What the hell was that?!' Luke thought to himself as he tried his best to hold his composure. 'It was clear that she was uncomfortable.' He kept thinking, shaking his head slightly before hearing the whole room erupt with laughter making his mind clear.

That was when he looked over at... Her.

The way that she smiled was beautiful.

Almost as if everything moved in slow motion, she turned to look at me, a soft smile on her face. Before she saw me looking right back at her, the two of us were staring at one another making me melt in a way.

Though it had only lasted about a second, she turned back towards the silver screen until the movie was over.
