Hey Watties!

It's not my best chapter... but at least it's something, right?

Talitha's POV

My eyes flutter open as I heard the impatient ring of the alarm clock. I groan as I start getting out of the bed. I ran my fingers through my hair then made my way to the bathroom. As I went there, I glanced back to see the clock so that I could check the time.

It's still 7 in the morning and I barely slept last night. A bunch of butterflies had been hammering on my stomach since yesterday and I'm sure that it's not the baby. I mean, they don't kick till a few more months. Do they?

Ugh. Of course they do, Talitha. They won't kick till a few months. That's what I'm sure of, or at least that's what Alexa tells me.

I took a long one-hour shower.

What?

I do that when I'm stressed, 'kay?

The first thing I had to worry about was about raising my still-unborn baby then about my parents finding out and now I have to worry working with the baby's father. I know it's kind of risky. I mean, let's just say 'what if'.

What if he finds out that I'm carrying his child? I wonder what would his reaction look like?

I shook my head. I really don't want to think about those things at the moment. I just hope that I would be able to do this job well. I kind of made a decision last night. I really do think it's risky to be working with him but I need a job and it's hard to find a good job in New York especially when I don't have much experience on anything else other than food-serving or being behind a cash register.

So yeah, my life kinda sucks at the moment.

After I finish putting my work clothes on, I went out and call out for a cabbie.

Just my luck. It's been like fifteen minutes and there's not one available cab around here. I grunt in frustration. I checked my wristwatch for the time.

8:18 AM.

Oh, you have to be kidding me. I need to get to that office by 9 and I'm not gonna be late for the first day of my new job. No way. I mean, look what happened last time I was late for my job. I got fired, that's what.

Oh man.

8:21 AM.

I am so doomed!

Miraculously, I finally caught a vacant cab. I literally curled my hand into a fist and pumped it into the air.

YES!

I was heading there to the cab when suddenly another person gets in it then the cab just drove away. My mouth gaped open.

No! That was my cab.

Ugh. The fudge!

8:25 AM.
