Chapter 14: Say What?!

I'm really sorry if I haven't updated as frequently as I used to... I'm becoming really busy lately because school's almost over and stuff... and a whole bunch of tests.. -_- 

Hope you like this chapter and it may be not that good but at least, right?

Talitha's POV

I really have a bad feeling about this. My stomach keeps on churning and that's usually not a good sign. At all. Sound looks like he doesn't care though but I noticed that the closer we are to the meeting room, the more tense he looks.

Hmm... is the big boss really that intimidating?

Oh, geez.

The meeting room is finally a few steps away. I look at Sound and he's really tense. Honestly, I'm kind of worried for him... and me. I mean, what if I get fired? I just got this job and I happen to like it. I don't want to get fired. I just started working here!

Laudia walks towards us. She looks nervous and fidgety. Oh wow. That intimidating, huh?

"Mr. Maine, you are badly needed in the meeting room" she says then turns to me and mouths a 'thank you'. I nod as a form of welcome.

"So I can go?" I ask. She nods.

"Yes," she says "but Mr. Chuy would like to speak to you tomorrow"

Oh, fudge.

"Okay" I say, barely audible.

"Hey," Sound says "you're gonna be fine. I don't think he'll fire you"

My eyes widened and my cheeks heat up. How would he know?

"How do you know?" I ask. He grins then shrugs.

"Even if he doesn't know it but... he likes you, alot" he says. Laudia and I have our mouths gaped open. Is that true? Oh man. I'm filled with different kinds of emotions right now. I didn't notice Sound leaning close to my ear.

"But I'm not going to give you up" he whispers "he has to fight with me first"

My eyes widen. Fudge. He grins as he sees my flushed face. He then kisses my cheek softly. Laudia still stands there dumbfounded. Sound casually walks toward the meeting room then enters it. 

Ugh.

I can't believe he left Lauida and I paralyzed and shocked. I shake my head to recover myself.

"S-So," I stutter "I can go now, right?"

Laudia shakes her head as if she just broken free from a strange trance.

"Y-Yeah" she replies. She's clearly still shocked.

"I'll go now, okay?" she says. I nod. She goes towards the elevator. She then went inside and gave me a stiff wave and a apologetic look. I wave back and smiled at her. Aww.. she's so sweet.

I eye the meeting room's door suspiciously. Oh man. I really want to hear what they are talking about. The meeting room isn't exactly sound-proofed yet. That's why the floor has to be empty when there are meetings going on.

I had a bad time fighting my stalker side. I do want to learn more about Siote and what Sound just had told me caught me off guard, as well as his kiss.

Ugh. Oh man.

My stalker side got the best of me because suddenly I find myself cautiously moving toward the door. I place my ear near the door, listening intently. A part of me is feeling a bit nervous. Of what though?

If I possibly do get fired?

Does Siote really like me?

What the fudge is Sound's real intentions are?

Or something else?

I don't know, but I'm going to find out. I hear muffled sounds at first but then the I could gradually make up the words they are saying.

"What were you thinking?!" I hear a deep, rough voice say. His tone made me flinch.

"Father, calm down" Siote's voice. Oh, so he's the son of the big boss. I can't believe I just knew now. I didn't really pay attention to the orientation. I do remember that the business is family and blah, blah, blah.

Ugh, Tailtha. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

I mentally slapping myself right now. I shake my head, trying to concentrate to their conversation.

"Lim" I hear a soft voice say.

"Not now, Melody!" 'Lim' says "your son just ditched the meeting!"

My eyes widen for a fraction of a second. Woah, Sound's mother.

"Lim, calm down" Another woman's voice.

"Not you too, Amethyst" Lim says.

"Lim, don't talk to me like that. I'm your wife" 'Amethyst' says. Oh, Siote's mom. I hear a muffled sorry from Lim.

"Hey, don't walk away from me!" I hear Lim exclaim followed by a large thud.

"Lim!" I hear Melody and Amethyst gasp.

"Father!" Siote cries out.

"Let go of me! Leave me alone!" Sound.

"Xin Chuy! Don't talk to me like that. I'm your father!" Lim shouts out.

What? Who's Xin Chuy? Chuy? Siote's brother? I didn't know he had a brother. I never see him in the office.

"I am Sound! I'm not that name you supposedly gave me" Sound says. My eyes bulg out.

Say what?! Sound's real name is Xin Chuy and he's Siote's brother?!

This is a whole lot to process. Oh man, now I regretted eavesdropping.

I can't believe it.

I kissed with my baby's father's brother.

Oh fudge.
